"I’ve replaced the filters and the hose in 12 years. He’s still going!"

"repairable"

"If you’re dealing with fine dust, bags are the way to go. No filters to wash, no dust cups to clean out, no plumes of dust. No, the bags won’t fill up instantly or loose suction the way old paper vacuum bags did."

"They last absolutely forever (I know 1980s models still in daily use)"

"never dies"

"we've had ours for about 15 years. ... He's done several renovations, sucked up all sorts of horrible stuff including garden waste. ... That thing is bullet proof"

"Numatic (the ones with the faces on them) have fantastic suction power"

"These glide over the uneven floors beautifully and strong suction will pick the dirt up out of the crevices."

"nothing fancy to go wrong - it either sucks or it doesn!"

"Two dogs and cats. One of the dogs sheds vacuum killing amounts of hair."

"Works well on hard floors and carpet."

"The only thing a Henry isn't so great for is deep pile carpet. ... Probably best to get an upright as well for that."

Hands down the Henry. I have had two sharks, a Dyson and a Hoover upright, all bagless. My Henry Pet has out lasted them all and Neumatic have great customer service and are a UK made product.

Went the othery. Had a shark, constantly had to clean it, replaced filters etc. Henry is a Joe in comparison.

Until I bought a Henry hound (?) no vacuum lasted longer than two years. Henry is indestructible, quite manly for a vacuum, and like many men quite annoying around the house. He had a habit of toppling over and loosing suction as soon as the paper bag was half full. Then about nine years ago, I invested in a Shark. I prefer the upright type of vacuum cleaner to the pull along, so this suits me better. It can work as a cylinder if I want to vacuum under tight spaces. It’s easier to manoeuvre on the stairs. I bought the powered head attachment for doing the stairs, and some small nozzles for reaching in tight spaces in the car. I’m still amazed at how much dust it sucks out of the carpets. I empty it after every use because I don’t like looking at the muck in the clear plastic tank. Henry lives in the garage now.

We've a Henry pet that does wonders for pet hair on the carpet areas and would definitely get another but the thing just goes and as others have said they hold up to abuse from kids aswell We got a 2nd hand Dyson cordless on cheap a few yrs back - it's grand for a daily clean up on wooden floors - I wouldn't recommend one though if u have pets as it barely does anything on the carpets and I wouldn't go near them at the prices in the shops though.

Agree. I also have it for few years now and it’s very reliable option with the amount of fur I get from my ragdoll.

We got the Henry Pet, it's class. We have 3 cats and a dog so it was well needed. Can't believe I love a hoover so much 😩

A Mighty Mite, a Henry Pet, or a Dyson stick, depending on the jobs. I’ll occasionally use a client vacuum but generally they’re not maintained well.

I’ve got a Henry too—I love it but I won’t take it to most cleans. I use a Shark Rocket for the majority of my work needs.
