I really like my E3 Sebo.... but my house is half your size, you'd prob want the bigger D4... always get the powerhead (no E2) if you have carpets. Tried them all in store (upright sebos, canister sebos, mieles) for like an hour. I had researched and had thought I was gonna go felix but holding it in hand for killed that idea. I'm a full on convert to canister vacs (i have stairs and like to dust w a vacuum). miele more expensive, and more expensive parts and repair, shorter warranty. I like sebo just does one thing... make vacuums, and they did commercial first, so you are getting a commercial vac w residential trim, not "consumer grade" (I apply the same logic to computer purchases).

r/VacuumCleanersExplain to me why you like a canister vac? And give me advice on what to get...

I went sebo (E3) over miele due to: cheaper, better warranty, cheaper parts and repair, and sebo does one thing (make vacuums)... suprised theres no sebo dealer nearby, I recommend trying to fine one even if its a drive. Think of SEBO like volkswagen, and MIELE like BMW. the variety of responses here are proof positive of TRY BEFORE BUY I tried miele, sebo uprights, sebo felix, sebo canister. disliked the felix immediately upon trying, despite my mind leaning felix during the online research phase! I'm a total convert from upright to canister (or at least sebos version of it) but you need to assess if you can handle the quirks of a canister. downsides of a canister: 1) one more thing to keep track of (I got used to it fast, I just kick it around or pull it by the hose) 2) harder to store (pending a good solution to this...) 3) heavier to take up the stairs (but easier to actually vacuum said stairs) Upsides of the canister: 1) lighter IN HAND (the weight of the vacuum is supported by the floor, not your hand, in use). 2) cord rewind (wrapping up cords after a upright vacuum session sucks, the SEBO you just unplug and step on the retract button. 3) much easier to do top to bottom detail vacuuming (fans, vents, dusting, cabinets, walls, pictures, shelves, dusting), wand/hose mode reaches many more high places and without tipping over the upright. 4) easier to maneuver the power head. yes you gotta maneuver the canister into position, but once you do you can get that powerhead into alot more difficult to reach places (under beds, couches, rugs, tables). Easier to maneuver the canister than moving furniture. I'm over cordless due to wall to wall carpet, the time limit (good for quick pickups only), and I really dislike the cleaning/washing/emptying of bagless machines (which most cordless are). The whole reason I vacuum is to GET RID of dust, dirt and nastiness... why do I wanna go touching and breathing it later... in concentrated form, bathing in a big ol dust cloud?!

r/VacuumCleanersSebo E3 or D4 - help me choose!

I have a D4 for upstairs carpets and two dogs, one cat. I chose it specifically over the E3 because it has a very long cord and for the configuration of our house that worked for me. I hate plugging/unplugging! But it is heavy and I don't use it on the stairs or downstairs. If you want to carry it around choose the E3.

That might do for you. I got a similar vac, a Titan fron Screwfix and have been very pleased with it. It's very noisy, as it's shop and not domestic. I bought it for dealing with various bits of dust and rubbleand ash, kept it as a general downstairs vac for floors that are brick and stone with rugs. Upstairs we have carpet and pets and I have a Sebo, but that's partly because I'm not prepared to lug the Titan up and down stairs, I need a vac on each floor. I've only used it once as a wet vac but it was very effective at that too. https://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-ttb774vac-1300w-16ltr-wet-dry-vacuum-220-240v/826kh

r/VacuumCleanersThoughts on the SEBO AIRBELT E3 (premium?) as the best vacuum for 3500sqft house with carpeted (low pile) bedrooms but hardwood everywhere else? Anything else I should consider?

For a home of your size you might want to compare the E3 against Sebo’s D4 canister. The latter is a larger machine designed for larger homes so the bag is larger and the power cord is longer, among some other feature differences. In terms of performance they clean the same though.

r/VacuumCleanersSebo Felix or one of the sebo canister models?

I own a Felix, E3 and a D4 (I love vacuums!). The canisters will clean under furniture easier than the Felix and are better for above the floor cleaning (blinds, walls, furniture, stairs). I use the Felix between deep cleaning because it is easy to put into action. If funds permit, get a Felix and one of the canisters. Train the daughters to use the Felix for day-to-day floor care and save the canister for weekly cleaning.

Sharing my family of Sebo vacuums. The Sebo D4 on the left was an EBay purchase that I refurbished. It looks and runs like new, love the extra large bag on this one! The Felix in the middle is my favorite and is a daily driver due to its ability to move easily from hard surfaces to carpet. The E3 on the right is a lightweight do-it-all machine. All of them are quiet, reliable and tackle cleaning chores easily.

- The D4 is designed for larger homes with a 40’ cord, 1.5 gallon bag and the strongest suction of the 3. This is the vacuum I pick when it’s deep cleaning, whole house day. It is best for above the floor tasks like walls, ceiling fans, upholstery, and blinds. - The E3 is the most versatile, especially medium sized homes. It’s lightweight and its suction is almost as good as the D4. The cord is shorter and its bag is nearly one full gallon. - The Felix is the easiest to grab and tackle daily tasks. About the same power as the E3, it moves easily around and under furniture. I use this one for routine cleanup, the hose is shorter so above the floor cleaning tasks require additional accessories like an extender hose or wand. I use it like a stick vacuum. If you have an apartment or condo this would be my choice. All of these have excellent air filtration, are quiet and tackle pet hair easily.

Definitely seek out and visit a Sebo/Miele dealer so they can demo all your options. You will likely get a discount and/or additional goodies thrown in (bags, filters, attachments). Whether it's Sebo or Miele, the lower cost units are suction only and won't clean your bedroom carpets effectively. Make sure your choice has a power nozzle (Sebo E3, K3, D4 or Miele C3 cat and dog). Miele just rolled out their replacement for the C3, called the Guard series. Unfortunately, there are only 2 models with the power nozzle, so if you are offered the newest model make sure it isn't suction only. Oddly, the new Miele Guard Cat and Dog does not include a power nozzle option! There are clearance deals on the previous generation Miele's, I'd go that way over the new/full markup models as these machines are excellent (Marin and the white Cat and Dog C3s are my favorites).

r/VacuumCleanersAnyone Prefer Miele Canisters? If So Why?

I have both Miele and Sebo canisters. The Miele SEB power nozzles handle thicker pile carpet better than the Sebo. I have a thick pile area rug in the master bedroom and the Sebo can't handle it. The Meile wand will go flat for under furniture cleaning, the elbow is angled more than the Sebo, in practice it isn't a significant difference. The Miele expendables (bags/filters) cost a bit more than Sebo and maintenance for a Miele will cost more compared to Sebo. The Sebo's break down much easier, quicker than a Meile. Which would I choose? I prefer my Miele C3 over the Sebo E3, but for whole house cleaning the Sebo D4 with the 40' cord and 1.5 gallon bag is the clear winner.

r/VacuumCleanersIs the Sebo D4 Too Large?

If you are future proofing your purchase, the D4 is ideal for the 3K+ home. In use, the D4 with its rotating hose is very manageable, not too different than a C3. Carrying the body alone upstairs is 15.9 pounds vs 12.5 for a C3. The Sebo wand and head is lighter than a C3 with a SEB 228 power nozzle.

The first things you'll notice about a modern vacuum is how quiet and compact they are compared to your Silver King. The Sebo D4 Onyx (or any Onyx version) opens the door to dealer-only extended warranty, pricing and accessory packages; 10 years motor/casing, parts and 7 year labor. Now that Miele rolled out their Guard series of vacuums, remaining stock of C3s are discounted. Standard warranty on a C3 is three years, but if there is a HomeCare edition (Red color), they are the Meile dealer-only line and warranted to 5 years. Only the entry level Miele's are Chinese, the majority are manufactured in Germany/Europe. The Guard Titanium is the current, dealer-only model from Miele. Both brands are BIFL, and the canisters are the GOAT for whole house cleaning (dusting, furniture, stairs, etc.). The D4 is designed for larger homes (40' cord, 1.5g bag). The Sebo E3 and Miele C3/Guard series are in the sweet spot for the average size home with a mix of bare floors and carpet. Models with a power nozzle will provide the most versatility to grow with your needs as you move from rentals to your final home. Get both brands and various models in your hands and test drive them in store. Black Friday is coming and these are always discounted this time of year.

Miele an Sebo are the premium canisters due to quality, warranty, and filtration. Of the two, Miele hoses are more flexible. I have both the Sebo E3 and D4, and both hoses are stiff and bulky due to their tapered design. I also have the Miele C3 and prefer it for dusting because Miele makes a larger, fully articulating brush (SUB 20) that works on the ceiling fans and bookshelves. For hard floor cleaning, the parquet twister is my go to, both Sebo and Meile have a version of this attachment. Based on your cleaning needs, a suction only machine will work well. Look at the Miele Classic C1 or Guard M1. Sebo comes in a close second place for portability. Look at the E1 or K2 Kombi and add the parquet twister. If you have a vacuum dealer, go there, the Black Friday discounts will be better and they will give you a package discount for any additional attachments, bags, etc.

r/VacuumCleanersWhat's the Best Vacuum Cleaner in 2025? (Price, Power, Capacity)

I had an upright Dyson which died on me. I wasn’t a fan considering the price point and the cheap plastics they use for it. I just purchased a Sebo D4 and it’s no comparison. I have carpet and hardwood so the Sebo does both with ease. It has a powerhead for carpets as well as multiple attachments that are stored right on the machine. The motor has a 10 year warranty and it has a lot of suction power. I also like the bag capacity too since I have dogs that shed so I can vacuum my two-story house without having to constantly empty a cannister or bag. I’m impressed with it so far.

I recently bought a Sebo. Had an upright Dyson but it burnt out after barely 5 years. I wanted quality that would last . Did a bunch of research and settled with Sebo D4. 10 year warranty on the motor and had really positive reviews.

It is large and bulky, and a pain in the ass to take up a flight of stairs. Also if your place is cramped its gonna constantly crash into objects. Everything else is top class
