E1 i would go for, maybe add deluxe parquet tool, you can remove front brush so it gobbles stuff rather than push it

As a small vacuum business myself, I would be happy to switch it out for you, if you feel better, call them ahead of time. Tell him what happened and you decide to go with the SEBO

How big is your home? If your around 2500 to 3000 square feet I'd recommend the Sebo E1 with the addition of the Premium parquet head for your hard floors. It comes with a Kombi head that'll do both but the premium head is really worth the upgrade.

Got me Sebo E1 a while ago and it's been nothing but amazing. I only have hard floors though, and the Kombi head is not very good for that since its design suctions onto the floor for some reason. Got a used bare floor tool and it is perfect. For medium pile carpets though, you may want to look at a powered head like that which comes with the E3.

I got the Sebo E1 plus the good parquet floor attachment. (The Kombi that comes with it is not great, not terrible. The parquet tool with 4 wheels is a dream.) The E2 and E3 are overkill if you have nearly all hard floor, like I do. I LOVE it. And it’s much less $ than the E2 or E3.

If you have carpet and kids, I wouldn’t switch to a cordless, I tried that and it didn’t work. A couple of options to consider would be Sebo Felix (or Dart plus parquet tool). A smaller canister like the Sebo e/k series or Miele c2 (would likely fall out of budget). I would try and stick it out with the c3 and get a cheap cordless (just get whatever is on sale at Canadian Tire or Costco) to use for quick daily pickups and use the c3 every week or so.

If you want BIFL , just get the sebo e1 or K1. 10 year warranty. The cheapest vacuums at Costco are more than $150 (at least the ones which are worth getting). I got a Dyson v8 or (v7) like 5 years ago from Costco. Had to change the battery once which Dyson mailed me a new battery. Even then with full charge it’ll last like 20 mins max now. I would say that the v8 or v15 dysons are the only vacuums that I’d even consider at Costco. But at their price, I could get a bagged, plugged in vacuum like a Sebo e1 or k1

Go to the closest Sebo dealer if you have one and test 1) sebo dart or felix because you might not be familiar with uprights 2) sebo k2 ($350-$400) 3) sebo e1/e2 ($550/$650) Last two are canisters. I would highly recommend the e1/e2. You just missed a huge sale that ended last weekend. You can ask the dealer about upcoming deals. All of the above have a 10 year warranty

Sebo is a great brand for professional cleaners, they're powerful, durable, and repairable. If you just want one vacuum that can clean all floor types then really the Sebo Felix is the best option. The other Sebo uprights don't have brushroll shutoff so some of them can do hard floors but not as well as having brushroll shutoff. Downsides to the Felix are a heavy handle weight and a short built in hose. A Sebo K3 or Sebo E3 are canisters that can do all floor types as well. If you want one of the Sebo uprights that aren't a Felix I'd choose the Sebo Essential G4. I prefer the manual carpet height adjustment, it gives you exactly what you want and is one less motor to break. And I prefer being able to remove the whole brushroll on the G4 instead of just the brushstrips on the Mechanical Series. To clean hard floors you'll need to add the kit with an extension hose, extension wand, and parquet brush. I wouldn't risk using the X7 on hard floors even though it has a squeegee because I wouldn't want to risk being blamed for scratching a client's floors. My ideal setup is 2 vacuums, an upright for the carpets, and a canister for the hard floors and above floor cleaning. I'd get a Essential G4 and a E1 Kombi. Having 2 vacuums can help you finish a job if one vacuum goes down during the job. If the upright goes down the canister can clean carpets (though it takes more work) and if the canister goes down you can finish using the hose on the upright. Also if a job has no carpets just take in the canister and vice versa. Be sure to find a local vacuum store to try them all in person first. What do you think?

Most cordless vacuums will have a hard time fitting under a 3 inch clearance. Since it's just hard floors would look at canister vacuums. You'll be able to attach floor heads and smaller dusting brushes and angle them to what you need. It will still be a tight fit for some floor heads. I'd look at canister vacuums with slim handles too so that when you lay the wand down you don't have to angle it because of a wider handle. I'd go for the [Powr-Flite Newton](https://www.powr-flite.com/newton-tub-vac-pv610-q10-u.html) $149 and add the [Wessel Werk RD285 (1.25 inch diameter)](https://www.amazon.com/Wessel-Werk-RD285-Ultra-Thin-Combination-Attachment/dp/B0979GNSJG/ref=sr_1_4_sspa?crid=2UNDAB5MEKAON&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.bvLppONHKcI7tmCDX_DBMiWFRIAbSTXRJq7Zdj0pzaPxZvcYBatC3Y7eNOQrifnRL4LDzTPctEpURSVhGNU2uaaplStsSw7Od7FQSQKtC9TAq0xOv4M92FJWGuoB2fMXfXXKyNHP_aP-8VLFAbxzU9x08zA9ROeuS3ci7Y8uVpRY11TQUJU0aeT_ZZWbkkZc4N4pg-W1m3m_7x44dNMMlDuM1nRHzUJJNbPn7FW-di785dYwALekUHVzTEIEQDoLkFXuWLyq9X85_JtZm9N7VtPaY9i_6kVtq34H1hoLsCQ.WuS0aFAcW4UAg-A5OJmPTUdvPq1ULDqrRuQyo2oqanc&dib_tag=se&keywords=wessel%2Bwerk&qid=1744584328&sprefix=wessel%2Bwerk%2Caps%2C182&sr=8-4-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1) $28. The Powr-Flite Newton is a copy-cat of the Henry canister vacuum but it's a third of the price. It has good suction and large hepa bags. The Wessel Werk RD285 is a flat floor tool that will help the wand fit under lower clearances. The standard combo floor brush that comes with the Newton is likely too tall. The Newton fits standard 1.25 inch tools so adding floor brushes and extra tools is easy, which is important as the Newton just comes with the combo floor brush, crevice tool, and dusting brush. You can also choose a higher end vacuum if you want more features like an automatic cord rewinder and motor speed control. The Sebo K2 Kombi $399 is more expensive but much nicer.

I think some determining factors are the E2 is medium sized, normal length hose and cord, medium sized bags, medium size and weight canister. The D1 has a long hose, a super long cord, large bags, it is heavier and bigger, but it isn't a very heavy vacuum compared to lift. The canister is around 15 lbs, but a Dyson Ball Animal is 17 lbs, and a Kirby 23 lbs. If I read that right you only have hard floors, so you don't actually need a turbo brush. The Sebo E1 Kombi is $499 CAD, that's $100 cheaper than the E2 Turbo. The E1 Kombi comes with the Premium Kombi Brush which is like the Premium Parquet Brush similar in size and the way that is swivels. The Premium Kombi Brush has no front bristles and the back bristles retract for use on rugs. If you want a longer hose and cord the D1 is a great value but otherwise I think the E1 is the better choice.

No problem it confusing that they’re both called Kombi Brush and there aren’t many reviews in the Premium Kombi. I have one and it’s like the Premium Parquet with the front brush strip already removed. It’s a little narrower than the Premium Parquet Brush.

I don't like dual vacuum/mop combos. Most cannot dry vacuum floors, they only wet mop. They all have a lot of cleanup after each use, wash & dry everything or you get odors and mold. Even the self-drying models have parts that need to be removed, washed, and dried. They have no hose or tools to vacuum anything above the floor. Many vac/mops have fixed batteries that wear out in 1-2 years. My advice is to buy a good regular vacuum corded or cordless and then pair it with the mop of your choice. If you want the most suction power and the longest lasting vacuum a corded canister like the Sebo E1 Kombi $499 CAD will clean hard floors amazingly and last 15-20 years. Bags last 2-3 months each. If you go cordless be sure to choose a vacuum with removable & replaceable batteries. Maintenance on any bagless vacuum will be more frequent, including emptying, washing filters, and still replacing HEPA filters yearly. I do not recommend a steam mop for laminate flooring, the heat can damage the wood and dissolve the glue. I would choose either an O'Cedar Spin Mop or a good reusable spray mop. Both you just throw the mop head in to the wash. Thoughts?

I mean they'll all do the job reliably for many many years, so it'll all come down to personal preference. I'll list a couple of criticisms: Miele guard S1: no on-board tool storage, just a clip to put on the hose or handle. Sebo K1: no cord retract button, pull to retract. Dusting brush attaches to the crevice tool instead of directly to the handle, extra step in using it. I'm not sure where the dusting brush stores or if it even comes with the cheaper variants. Sebo E1: doesn't have on-board storage for the dusting brush, just a clip to the handle. Not sure if it comes as standard with the cheaper variants. The cheaper variants of the Sebo K1 and E1 come with the older COMFORT PRO 8351GS floor tool, which is just too big to be usable in a domestic environment. The more expensive versions come with the better KOMBI 7260GS tool. Still heavy but very usable. Miele M1 is an updated version of the C3. I think the M1 has a longer cord. Both excellent, but heavy and loud machines. Sebo D4, just to big for a small flat.

If you have really just hardwood (and maybe a rug or 2), the Sebo E1 would be a fantastic choice. It’s $599 USD if you’re in the US. There is nothing that will clean hardfloor better than that vacuum, and you can still use it for a couple of rugs. I personally like the floor tool because it doesn’t require a lot of maintenance and goes from floor to rugs easily, but you can always get a more traditional brush if you want. Some people might suggest a K series Sebo, but I promise you the E is 100% better for hardfloor. If you want something from Miele, I would recommend the Complete C3 Gala ($649 USD and you can always watch for it it goes on sale). It will clean exactly the same as the Sebo, has a more traditional floor brush (Miele’s floor brush is arguably the best floor brush depending on who you ask, but I like it), and has a combination rug tool for rugs. Both of these models will be really light (handle weight wise as there’s no wiring in the hose, etc), they will also be very easy to maneuver, and will clean flooring the same as any more expensive models. The only reason Miele and Sebo vacuums get more expensive than this is because they come with a powerhead, but if you don’t really have much carpet and would like to keep the cost down, get one with out it. I’d say the main benefit of the Sebo is you get the foam bumper, where the Miele has a larger bag. Again the filtration is similar. If you decide for the Miele, you can always see how it does out of the box, and if you decide that you want to upgrade its exhaust filter to a real H13 Hepa filter, you can do that at any point. Both brands are the easiest brands to find bags and filters for. If you want me to suggest another brand I’m happy to continue suggesting, but these 2 I highly recommend. Also, bagged vacuums are superior to bagless vacuums, especially if dust is a concern.

That’s kind of a tricky one for me. The E2 technically does a better job on carpet and rugs because it has the turbine driven head with the rotating brush which helps open up carpet pile and do a dealer clean. However, because it’s turbine driven and doesn’t have an electric motor in the head, if you’re picking up a decent amount of hair, it can clog up that turbine and would need to be cleaned out. It can totally be cleaned, it’s just a balance of how much maintenance do you wanna do on your vacuum vs just plug and play and put it away. The E1 will do the exact same job on the hardfloor. I prefer the E1 on the hardfloor because the Kombi tool requires very little maintenance. The Kombi tool doesn’t have a front bristle which allows hair to just sweep into the front of it - where as a traditional floor brush (like what’s on the E2) can get a bit clogged up on the front portion of the brush after a bit of use. As far as carpet / rug performance goes, because the E1 doesn’t have a tool with a rotating brush, it has a harder time opening up the pile to do a deeper clean. If you have very little carpet or 1 or 2 rugs, the E1 is my recommendation. If you have a bit more carpet then that, but you aren’t picking up much in the way of hair, then the E2 will help keep those rugs / carpet clean. Here’s the great thing about all of this though - the E1 and the E2 can be turned into eachother later on in the future - as you can buy their attachments separately. So if you buy the E1 and say want the turbo head later on, you can do that. You just can’t add on the ET-1 electric powerhead because they don’t have the electric hose. Both vacuums are great though. Even though I kinda knocked the e2 a bit because turbo heads aren’t as heavy duty as electric powerheads, turbo heads are a great way to keep the weight down, price down, and clean carpet (as long as you don’t have too much of it) vs an electric powerhead which is more expensive and heavier to lift around. If you had a decent amount of carpet and lots of hair from pets for example on it, you would want the E3.

What's the current Siemens vacuum that you currently have, and what do you find lacking in terms of it's performance? Any of the bagged and corded Bosch/Siemens canisters will outperform that Kenmore bagless vacuum any day You just need a pure suction, corded, bagged vacuum In terms of budget, I'd go Bosch/Siemens in the middle tier, Miele C3 and Sebo E1/K1 in the upper tier If looking at cordless, you can look at the Vorwerk ones
