"it's so NICE to throw the bag of stinky (I have a golden retriever XD) dog hair into the trash and not have it funking up the whole vacuum, forever."

"If you're cleaning a lot of hardwood floors, I would not do Sebo uprights as they don't have a brushroll shutoff"
Anyone gone from a Sebo X7 to D4 or alike? I like my X7 but it still leaves me wanting more. My old Dyson V12 stick vacuum will pick up hair and dander the X7 left behind. Very annoying for vacuum of this caliber. Been thinking of selling it and trying a D4 or E1 canister. Have you guys had better results on carpet with canister over an upright? My carpets do get clean with the X7 but it still leaves remnants of pet hair, and dander behind.
r/VacuumCleaners • Sebo X7 to D4 or E1 ->I’d recommend the SEBO G4. It’s extremely durable and offers a few more features than the 300 Mechanical. It’ll likely be the best vacuum you’ve ever used. The only drawback is that it’s not ideal for hard floors, since the brush roll can’t be turned off. For those areas, you’ll want to use the extension hose and attachments. That said, the G4 lets you manually adjust the brush height, so you can raise it to its highest setting if you occasionally need to vacuum a hard floor — giving the least chance of damaging the surface. The SEBO X7 is also an excellent option. It automatically raises and lowers the head based on the surface it detects, which is convenient but takes away the manual control you get with the G4. The SEBO Felix is another good vacuum. While it isn’t built to the same commercial-grade durability as the G4, 300 Mechanical, or X7, it’s more versatile because it can handle both carpet and hard floors. It may just require a little extra care when vacuuming.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best Vac for professional house cleaner? ->Totally fair, I only suggest dyson as their cordlesses do genuinely preform well. Miele and sebo are fantastic choices corded vac wise.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best Stick vacuums ->Wattage doesn't matter. Really, it doesnt. Motor design, airpath design, quality of construction, proper design of the cleaning head all factor in greatly. Vacuums are not less effective now, they are simply more energy efficient and don't heat up the room (which is where all that wasted energy went). Even Airwatt numbers can be misleading, because again the floorhead itself is so critical in the performance. High airwattage doesn't matter if it's applied inefficiently to the surface. Avoid shark, build quality is poor and repairability is nonexistent. But yes a corded model is going to be more reliable in the long run. Pretty much any Miele or Sebo corded machine will be a good choice. They are well made, powerful, reliable. Your ikea rug probably advises against using a motorized rotating brush attachment, both miele and sebo's standard floorheads would suit that rug.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best vacuum for high pile (shaggy) rugs? Shark? Miele? Other? ->The airstorm, while good, is no better than a miele or sebo. I wouldn't pay the premium. Mieles and sebos are also sealed to trap dust. They are also more modern in design and easier to use (they have cord rewind while the air storm does not). There's nothing really bespoke about the airstorm. Underneath the top shell, the power nozzle is the same as ones avaliable for Miele models. The hose and other tools are generic off-the-shelf supplies etc. While it would probably last you a long time and do a good job, you might resent using it. I'd strongly suggest you try one in person before choosing, and frankly I'd save money and go with a nicer to use miele/sebo.
r/VacuumCleaners • Air Storm Plus HEPA vacuum ->Sebo would be a good choice as an all in one vacuum replacement. But a suitable model would be a little over your price range. And sebos are dry vacuums only. As for the floor washing things, they work pretty well for mopping floors but are not an all-in-one solution in my opinion. I have a similar machine but I always vacuum first before using it. For one, they aren't as good as an actual vacuum. They don't pull dirt from corners well. And they are a complete mess to clean out when you're done if you don't vacuum ahead of time. In that way, they don't really save much work imo. And they don't work on carpet of course. So I'm not sure there's really an all-in-one solution I could recommend. If thoroughly cleaning out the floor washing machine each use is something you wouldn't mind doing, that could be worth a try. But you'd still need to vacuum your carpets with something else.
r/VacuumCleaners • Mova? Sebo? I just wanna vacuum/wash my floors ->Firstly it's important to point out that every vac will leave behind some debris. It's extremely difficult to get carpet 100% clean. Try your test in reverse, use the v12 then clean with the sebo x7 with a new bag, and cut open the bag. You'll find more dirt. Its a classic salesman trick, but the vac that goes last always "wins". Having said that, I think the manual brush adjustment ability of the canister powerheads do provide an edge in carpet cleaning. The x series models sometimes adjust themselves a little too high in my opinion, and I do prefer the results I get with the powerhead canisters.
r/VacuumCleaners • Sebo X7 to D4 or E1 ->I had a Miele C3 canister and haaaaated it. It would look for reasons to tip over going around any corner. Fun thing is, the controls are mounted on the top. So when it flipped over one way, it would shut off. Flipped the other way, it would retract the cord. Replaced it with a Sebo X7 upright. My blood pressure has gone way down. No looking back. Miele is a great vacuum. In a straight line. Just wish the Sebo had an auto retracting cord. ✌
r/BuyItForLife • Best vacuum cleaner currently? ->Sebo Automatic X4 or X7 with the softer brush roll (green bristles)
r/VacuumCleaners • Vacuum Headache - Delicate wool berber carpet ->My advice is to go to maybe a Dyson Demo Store and try it out for yourself before you buy, people say they don’t last but the reality is they do if you take care of them, like washing the filter every month, empty after every use, don’t use it on max mode constantly, etc and it’ll last a long time without issues (unless you install the filter back wet or wash any parts you’re not suppose to, and bash it about everywhere) Personally I find Dyson okay People here will tell you the Sebo and Miele are like legendary best options but in my opinion tube are overrated. I own a Dyson V11 and 2 Sebo’s, (Sebo x1 and Sebo X7) (I use to have a Miele but I hated it) Don’t get me wrong, the Sebo is an EXCELLENT vacuum and picks up really well, however let me tell you it STINKS after a few weeks and you’d just change the bag but bags aren’t cheap for them and you can’t reuse the old ones so you’d wanna wait until they’re full before disposing, and yes I did try vac freshens, both from Sebo and from Amazon and non of them lasted very long before the bad smell came back My Dyson v11 is pretty good, picks up a decent amount and doesn’t really smell since I wash the filter every month in a bit of warm water with a cap full of [Zoflora](https://www.ocado.com/products/zoflora-midnight-blooms-concentrated-disinfectant-595014011) of which does come in quite a few different scents But if I were you, I’d try before you buy
r/VacuumCleaners • Is the Dyson worth it? ->It would be excellent for tons of carpet. The filtration of the X7 is as much as you would ever need too. The automatic height adjustment is lovely as well and it would last forever.
r/VacuumCleaners • SEBO X7 upright for tons of carpet? ->Sebo hands down. 10 year warranty, tough as nails.
r/BuyItForLife • Best vacuum cleaner currently? ->Since you are in the UK look at the Sebo Automatic X7 or Sebo Airbelt D4. The Automatic X7 is their top of the line upright with automatic height adjustment. The D4 is their top of the line canister with a large bag and would be great for cleaning the car.
r/VacuumCleaners • Vacuum recommendations ->price of replacement parts is a huge reason i recommend sebo vacuums. every time i have to look up a part for a miele vacuum i already know it’s going to cost 3x-4x what it should.
r/VacuumCleaners • [REVIEW] Miele Vacuums are a joke ->sebo x7 would be a great option. check with a dealer to see if you can try it out first, and probably get better pricing than internet storefronts.
r/VacuumCleaners • SEBO X7 upright for tons of carpet? ->your sebo will also contain the dust and capture it rather than spewing it back into the air like their dysons will. :)
r/CleaningTips • Vacuuming my house every day has changed my life ! 💝 ->bagless vacuums will let dust into the air. bagged vacuums that have a sealed system with high grade filtration won’t. i’d recommend a sebo or miele.
