"I like the bag. Our bagless vacuums always made a MESS cloud of dust when trying to empty them in the kitchen. I'd have to go outside, and it would still make a cloud all over me. This was easy, close the lid on the bag, lift it out, toss it in the trash, put a new one in. It holds more than I'd typically think, because unlike our bagless, the dirt all gets packed into the bag, it gets more dense. So it holds more than you would expect."

"We've neglected the hell out of it. It has 1555 hours on it with minimal maintenance. Ran it every night for 4 years or so. So I always thought these things were tanks. It still works"

"All the parts that will have tangled hair (like rollers, empty bin, rotating brushes, and wheels) are extremely easy to remove and clean, almost with no tools needed. I literally take only ten minutes to remove every dog hair inside the system."

I like my bosch athlete but it's a different formfactor (upright not stick), you can't replace the battery and I don't like the accessory system. I've had 3 or 4 models and the latest 30ish volts are best with awesome suction. Honestly can't tell a diffference between the athlet and my corded sebo felix on our hard floors. Probably a bit heavier but it's an upright not a stick so not as much weight on your hand and love that it stands on it's own instead of laying all over the place. Hate that the battery is built in and can't be replaced but my spouse likes it much more than our Henry canister and Sebo Felix stick that when the battery life gets short we just get a new one. Brush roll is removable and it makes cleaning it so much easier than my shark duo clean head with a fixed rear brush. Liked every thing else about my shark cordless "lift away" vacuum but the hard to clean easy to clog rear brush roll made me give up on it and relegate it to light duty in the basement. But buy it knowing that if you like it after three or four years you'll probably get a new one so factor that into the lower cost when comparing against more expensive vacuums such as dyson: [https://www.bosch-home.co.uk/bosch-innovations/athlet](https://www.bosch-home.co.uk/bosch-innovations/athlet)

If you don't have carpeting the best corded stick you can buy is probably the Felix 4. 230 euros it's the felix sold without the pricey ET-1 power head. Without the powerhead it does not stand on it's own making it a stick. instead of an upright. Unlike meile you can buy sebo vacuums from amazon germany. > SEBO Essential G4 Weird that you got a downvote. Probably some vendor that does not carry the G4? Anyway as a felix owner I am totally jealous of that quick draw wand hose. Gosh the felix system is SO annoying. To use a wand/atachment you need to bend down almost to the floor, take out the hose then figure out where you left the wand (closet? Last place you used it?) attach the wand find the attachment (they love to fall of that @ss holder on the felix) then tear t e whole thing apart when you are done. Would love a stowable wand you just pull out like on the G4. My only concern is the OP has 1/2 solid flooring. How is the G4 on hard floors or would he need something separate for that too? My experience is the ET-1 does OK not great on hard floors. Especially with stuff like edge cleaning. But that's a different head than ET-1 on the G4?

r/VacuumCleanersTried canister for first time (C1) from a vacuum noob. My super brief impressions so far versus a cordless stick vacuum.

> It's leagues above anything I've tried in the non-canister world. That's not a format thing. In theory an upright with a shorter air path could do better than a canister given the same engine. Also have you tried a Felix? Super suction. Have not seen numbers but can't believe the C1 is any better. Pet hair and food I rather have a canister than bag. Empty that smelly stuff out daily instead of letting it fester in your closet for months. For ultimate convenience have you tried a cordless upright? Even better in some ways than a stick as you just leave it standing anywhere instead of laying all over the place. Our 30-ish volt bosch athlet picks up stuff as well as our Felix. Probably weaker suction but the brushes make up for it. (we have hard floors so don't often have the powered head on our felix).

huge problem with my felix too. Just an FYI it's such a problem that sebo makes deoderizing sticks that work with any vacuum. Throw one in the bag before useing.

I had the old dyson ball for like 15 years before giving it away because I moved into a house without carpeting. Great vacuum and tons better to use than the ergonic mess called a felix (which I own) and every canister vac like my henrys (yes I have 2). Lot of misinformation here like needing to buy hepa filters every 6 months? Everyone talks about dyson marketing but how about all the miele/sebo shills trolling this reddit?

\> attachments leaves a bit to be desired on initial usage. It doesn't get better. (I've had felix for years). | Having to bend down almost to the ground to detach the attachment hose and not standing on it's own with the parquet head/multi head are really bad design choices. Good suction, well built but I almost need a seperate stick vac just to make up for the deficiencies.

\>  and it works amazingly with the et-1 for bare floor usage.  Wow. Not my experience at all. Are you using it with the brush roll on? Not an option for some floors so the brush roll justs gets in the way of the suction and the bulky head gets in the way of vacuuming edges. ET-1 is meh (2+ years experience) on hard floors. When I use it I feel 'm getting $200 vacuum performance out of a $600 vacuum. Big house with messy kids from teens to littles. Not just vacuuming up yesterday's dust. Throw some fruit loops on the floor and tell us how it does. With the parquet tool and the front brush removed its a hard floor monster. A real competitor to the Henry with wesselwerk RD285. I prefer the henry performance a bit more as I can lift and drag back over almost anything. Stuff big enough will snowplow on the parquet tool even with the front brush removed and lifting the heavy felix is a pita to get over stuff that won't fit. And noise? Easily the loudest vacuum I own (I have a lot of vacuums). At least it feels like it. Maybe it's the same as the henry just closer to my ears? Other peeves: Smells, generates a lot of heat and filtration fails the air cleaner test (henry passes it). (Air cleaner dirty air sensor turns angry red when using the felix) and of course won't stand up when using the parquet head. BTW reading this I had flashbacks to sebo USA marketing. They've contacted me directly to let me know the ET-1 is great on hard floors. I tell that to my hard floors all the time but they are just not listening.

yeah. You can get genuine sebo branded scent sticks to mask the smell. AFAIK Sebo is the only vacuum vendor that has and needs them. I don't like the sticks but I have little beads that if it's bad I throw on the floor and vacuum up. I like them because I can adjust the amount until it's just right and add a little more later if need. \> makes it smell amazing Masking the smell and adding more chemicals to the air you breath is not really that amazing. I've owned the sebo for years not days. Parquet tool is much better on hard floors and way less bulky and more maneuverable around furniture and has much better edge cleaning... why don't you give it a try? Gosh and I forgot to mention the horrible attachment system with with terrible onboard storage having to bend down to the floor just to disconnect the incredibly short attachment hose. Gosh I hate that so much. Worst design ever.

r/VacuumCleanersExplain to me why you like a canister vac? And give me advice on what to get...

I went sebo (E3) over miele due to: cheaper, better warranty, cheaper parts and repair, and sebo does one thing (make vacuums)... suprised theres no sebo dealer nearby, I recommend trying to fine one even if its a drive. Think of SEBO like volkswagen, and MIELE like BMW. the variety of responses here are proof positive of TRY BEFORE BUY I tried miele, sebo uprights, sebo felix, sebo canister. disliked the felix immediately upon trying, despite my mind leaning felix during the online research phase! I'm a total convert from upright to canister (or at least sebos version of it) but you need to assess if you can handle the quirks of a canister. downsides of a canister: 1) one more thing to keep track of (I got used to it fast, I just kick it around or pull it by the hose) 2) harder to store (pending a good solution to this...) 3) heavier to take up the stairs (but easier to actually vacuum said stairs) Upsides of the canister: 1) lighter IN HAND (the weight of the vacuum is supported by the floor, not your hand, in use). 2) cord rewind (wrapping up cords after a upright vacuum session sucks, the SEBO you just unplug and step on the retract button. 3) much easier to do top to bottom detail vacuuming (fans, vents, dusting, cabinets, walls, pictures, shelves, dusting), wand/hose mode reaches many more high places and without tipping over the upright. 4) easier to maneuver the power head. yes you gotta maneuver the canister into position, but once you do you can get that powerhead into alot more difficult to reach places (under beds, couches, rugs, tables). Easier to maneuver the canister than moving furniture. I'm over cordless due to wall to wall carpet, the time limit (good for quick pickups only), and I really dislike the cleaning/washing/emptying of bagless machines (which most cordless are). The whole reason I vacuum is to GET RID of dust, dirt and nastiness... why do I wanna go touching and breathing it later... in concentrated form, bathing in a big ol dust cloud?!

r/VacuumCleanersVacuum Recs for larger home
about 1 month ago

I really like my E3 Sebo.... but my house is half your size, you'd prob want the bigger D4... always get the powerhead (no E2) if you have carpets. Tried them all in store (upright sebos, canister sebos, mieles) for like an hour. I had researched and had thought I was gonna go felix but holding it in hand for killed that idea. I'm a full on convert to canister vacs (i have stairs and like to dust w a vacuum). miele more expensive, and more expensive parts and repair, shorter warranty. I like sebo just does one thing... make vacuums, and they did commercial first, so you are getting a commercial vac w residential trim, not "consumer grade" (I apply the same logic to computer purchases).

I was in full decision paralysis by the time I got to chat with Andrea (geekvacuums). She was up late answering all my questions, answered all my concerns, and just held my hand as I tried to figure out the best decision for my home and family. I never felt pushed and I was so happy that I could support a small business while getting it shipped to me. I love our local stores but none of them provided payment options that worked for our family. For those who need these options, def research and find a small business who Sebo supports. You’ll be able to get a better warranty than their own site or Amazon - plus you can still use the warranty at your local shops even though you don’t get from there. I am so amazed at the performance of this little vacuum. I wasn’t prepared for our carpets to feel this fresh and new after vacuuming 🫣

Thank you for the deal info! Big help! People should not be hesitant to shop around and reach out to both local and online/out of state authorized dealers. Often you’ll find they’ll price match most competitor deals/coupons within reason. Also better chance of avoiding sales tax by checking out of state dealers! Most with an online presence offer free shipping within the continental US. I had great luck a week ago getting a new Sebo Felix from an out of state dealer for $240 less than what I would have paid locally MSRP+tax. They gave me 25% off, free shipping, no tax, extended warranty. They even threw in some free bags!

r/VacuumCleanersSebo Felix or one of the sebo canister models?

I own a Felix, E3 and a D4 (I love vacuums!). The canisters will clean under furniture easier than the Felix and are better for above the floor cleaning (blinds, walls, furniture, stairs). I use the Felix between deep cleaning because it is easy to put into action. If funds permit, get a Felix and one of the canisters. Train the daughters to use the Felix for day-to-day floor care and save the canister for weekly cleaning.

Sharing my family of Sebo vacuums. The Sebo D4 on the left was an EBay purchase that I refurbished. It looks and runs like new, love the extra large bag on this one! The Felix in the middle is my favorite and is a daily driver due to its ability to move easily from hard surfaces to carpet. The E3 on the right is a lightweight do-it-all machine. All of them are quiet, reliable and tackle cleaning chores easily.

r/VacuumCleanersSebo Family

- The D4 is designed for larger homes with a 40’ cord, 1.5 gallon bag and the strongest suction of the 3. This is the vacuum I pick when it’s deep cleaning, whole house day. It is best for above the floor tasks like walls, ceiling fans, upholstery, and blinds. - The E3 is the most versatile, especially medium sized homes. It’s lightweight and its suction is almost as good as the D4. The cord is shorter and its bag is nearly one full gallon. - The Felix is the easiest to grab and tackle daily tasks. About the same power as the E3, it moves easily around and under furniture. I use this one for routine cleanup, the hose is shorter so above the floor cleaning tasks require additional accessories like an extender hose or wand. I use it like a stick vacuum. If you have an apartment or condo this would be my choice. All of these have excellent air filtration, are quiet and tackle pet hair easily.

I think the Felix would be the choice. The upright design, top loading bag, and light weight all seem to be in your favor. All Sebo nozzles are foot controlled (power), but still require some bending to dial the nozzle height adjustment.

I think the Felix ranks very high for my uprights. I use this one frequently because it has a nice blend of performance and is user friendly. Best suction still goes to my Kirby’s.

r/VacuumCleanersVacuum Advice for 2 Men 2 Cats

Canister vacs come in a variety of prices based on accessories and if the vacuum has a power nozzle or straight suction. Straight suction vacuums are cheaper because there are no electrical connections in the hose or wand. Based on your budget and bare surfaces, a pure suction canister with an air driven floor attachment should work (the medium pile rugs might bog it down). Sebo K2 Turbo or a Miele C1 Turbo Team are two solid choices. A Sebo Felix is a worthy upgrade (the Dart's big brother). It's a more capable model, but more expensive. The Black Friday discounts are known at your local dealer, pop in and see what models they have on sale.

For the die hard upright users, the Sebo Felix is the hybrid solution. The premium parquet converts quickly for excellent bare floor results and the ET-1 power head is superb. But, I love my canisters more for all the reasons stated already to the OP's original post. The above the floor cleaning advantage goes to the canister for walls, baseboards, dusting, furniture, cars, ceiling fans, and more. Pick your vacuum based on the floors you need to clean; pure suction for bare floors, full featured model with a power nozzle for carpets.
