I've had several and loved all of them! Right now, I'm using this one: https://a.co/d/2zlqyHf I love it. It's powerful and compact, the cord is long, I don't have to clean the brush roll...those are the pros. Cons: dust cup is small, area in front of brush roll needs to be cleaned frequently (they have a removable brush roll to make this easy, though), and the filters need to be changed frequently. Still, I love this vac and will soon be buying another.

Seconding Shark. Corded vacuums are the only kind I will buy after doing research on pet hair suction power lol. I have a Shark Stratos Ultra stick vacuum and I love it. Sometimes Lowe’s will run 50% off on them so I got it for $150

r/VacuumCleanersNew to looking for vacuums, looking for corded stick vacuum for rug/hardwood/tile, preferrably 100-200

I think shark is a good vac for under 200 dollars. Look into [Shark Stratos Ultralight](https://amzn.to/3Wrqzkh) Amazon currently has it on sale. It’s usually 289 but currently it’s under 200. It’s a good vacuum and has what you need plus some.

I have two cats and a Shark Stratos corded vacuum (hardwood floors and some rugs) and I love it. I’m amazed at how much fur and dust it picks up. I never thought I’d be gushy over a vacuum, but here we are.

Have a shark hand held anti hair wrap one. Find it great. Definitely heavier than a Dyson hand held but stronger suction & long battery - does our whole house no issue. Also a light which is very handy. We have no carpets but busy house with kids and pets

I use a Shark Stratos from Costco. It's been good, comes with lots of attachments. The dual brush and fins clean hard floors very well.

Absolute best, Dyson V15/16. Bang for your back, Shark Stratos. Both drains battery very quickly at the highest setting. There's just no way around that.

Just bought a Shark Stratos refurbished off eBay for around $200. Has worked great so far and has a 2 year warranty.

Shark Stratos or Tineco A11 Hero. They're both solid under $300. Avoid Bissell stick vacs, weak suction and bad battery life in my experience

Most of the vacuum experts here are going to ignore your post and instead recommend a corded canister Miele or Sebo. Frustrating because I did lots of research here trying to learn about the least lame cordless stick vacuums and instead got to learn about something completely different. I'd say, go to Costco and buy whatever looks good to you. They have a great return policy that applies to vacuums so when the battery inevitably dies you can just return it. I recently got a Shark Stratos from Costco and, while it is pretty mediocre, it was $240 and is good at sucking pet hair out of my rug. I'll return it eventually, I'm sure. Best of luck!
