Shark! There’s a small rechargeable, handheld one that is amazing! It’s about the size of your forearm (well, mine, I’m a girl). It’s truly great. Just remember to clean the filter. :)

There are some good bagged vacuums that take up a relatively small amount of space. I now have the Miele C1 Turbo but prior to that I had a bagged upright and I could squash it into my coat closet for storage. I do understand not wanting to deal with a full size vacuum cleaner as I am reluctant to haul out my Miele if I spill a bit on the floor. I have been eyeing this as I read a recommendation in terms of how good it was for using when you have those odd things and just need to vacuum stuff up. It isn't the least expensive option for a handheld but it seems perfect for my needs and might also work well for you # Shark WANDVAC Cordless Hand Vac, [https://www.amazon.com/Shark-Lightweight-Versatile-One-Touch-WV201WH/dp/B0F45ML5MV/ref=pd\_ybh\_a\_d\_sccl\_51/139-3852019-7956315?pd\_rd\_w=cOTFi&content-id=amzn1.sym.67f8cf21-ade4-4299-b433-69e404eeecf1&pf\_rd\_p=67f8cf21-ade4-4299-b433-69e404eeecf1&pf\_rd\_r=Q602QSBZ7XJF6G37JQ65&pd\_rd\_wg=H8c0y&pd\_rd\_r=8ea601d3-7257-47cc-8db0-652df9c39e1d&pd\_rd\_i=B0F45ML5MV&th=1](https://www.amazon.com/Shark-Lightweight-Versatile-One-Touch-WV201WH/dp/B0F45ML5MV/ref=pd_ybh_a_d_sccl_51/139-3852019-7956315?pd_rd_w=cOTFi&content-id=amzn1.sym.67f8cf21-ade4-4299-b433-69e404eeecf1&pf_rd_p=67f8cf21-ade4-4299-b433-69e404eeecf1&pf_rd_r=Q602QSBZ7XJF6G37JQ65&pd_rd_wg=H8c0y&pd_rd_r=8ea601d3-7257-47cc-8db0-652df9c39e1d&pd_rd_i=B0F45ML5MV&th=1)

I have a Shark Wandvac that I keep in the bathroom with the litterbox, and it has been perfect (I have the WV201 model) for keeping the litter under control. I use tofu litter, but the little wandvac has also been pretty good at getting up other things as well (like exploded flour on a kitchen counter). It doesn't have a huge dustbin, but I don't need it to, and it is very easy to empty and place back on its charging dock.

I got a Hoto vacuum but it developed a problem where the vacuum cup attachment would not twist on and stay on the body. However their customer service (after I sent them a video of the problem) is good and they sent me a brand new full unit even though they could have just sent me the attachment. I also bought a Shark handvac in the mean time and that works very well too.

I don't think they are a known vacuum brand. They make a variety of tools. I have their screwdriver too. [https://hototools.com](https://hototools.com) This is what I have. [https://hototools.com/products/compressed-air-capsule](https://hototools.com/products/compressed-air-capsule) The hoto is compact so I was keeping it with my coffee gear. I bought the Shark Wandvac as soon as the Hoto broke and while I was interacting with Hoto's customer service. The Shark works fine and has a bigger chamber. The draw back of the Shark is I can't just leave it with my coffee stuff in the kitchen and it uses a special cradle to charge. The Hoto charges over USB-C. The Hoto also works as a blower so you can attach a bunch of nozzles it comes with on the opposite end to blow out stuff or inflate flotation devices etc. Suction wise both are the same. I haven't even opened the new Hoto package and it has been a few months.

r/CleaningTipsAre Dyson vacuums worth it?

We had the Dyson Ball vacuum (corded) and absolutely hated it. It worked terrible, was heavy and just wasn't good. We did regular maintenance on it too. It just was crap. Since then, we've replaced it with shark vacs. We keep one on each floor of the house so we don't have to continually carry them up and down stairs. They work great. I also recently got a handheld cordless shark vac and it is AWESOME. We have some awkward spaces in our home that a vacuum never really fit in so the cordless hand vac does the job. With 4 cat, I vacuum regularly. I use a Fuller hoky (manual sweeper) daily and it works great too!

Check out thrift stores. I found Shark rechargeable hand held for $5 that works great.

I’ve had a great experience with Shark! Our first upright lasted 12ish years. We replaced it with a new upright and now have one of their robot ones and a cordless hand vacuum. I’m pleased with all of them.

I have a 25 year old Dyson cylinder that still works but it's a pain to carry up/down stairs so I bought a cheapo Chinese thing for about 20 quid which...works until it doesn't. It overheats pretty quickly. so I stopped using it. I bought an upright cordless shark, it's "ok" but not great for anything where stuff can wrap around the roller. I swear I've spent more time taking the damn thing apart and unblocking it than actually hoovering. The cordless is great, as is the little light on the front but yeah, I would NOT have this as a main hoover. 30 min battery time is a bit lame too. I also have a shark handheld which is cordless. now that IS useful. Battery is only about 10 mins tho so it's good for spot cleaning, cleaning car or cleaning up a spillage somewhere. Or doing shelves/cobwebs. I also have two Eufy robots, they are pretty fing good. They do 30-45 mins a day up/down stairs (hence 2), they usually need emptying twice a week so they are picking up a lot of dust/dead fern leaves and carpet sheddings. Wouldn't be without the robots. If I had to choose ONE, I would go Dyson. Do not get the shark, it's not a daily driver. The henry is good, I've used them a lot when doing DIY at other people's houses, they are bomb proof. There's also a reason why most office cleaners will use one, they suck like a 10 quid crack ho. I also have two bosch battery ones, one of them is an amazing wet/dry with godly suction power, way stronger than any of the vacs I have, great for skirting boards/edges and stuff the robots can't do or get to. Also attaches to bosch sanders.
