"Just slightly over your budget but well worth it for the customization/LUT software alone, not to mention the actual quality of the camera you’re getting for the price."

"I am really happy with the quality and settings it comes with ... Elgato is basically present in everyones stream nowadays in one form or another and they really look for their products to be made towards streamers"

"In my testing the Elgato out of the box was significantly worse as far as colors and light than the others ... the Elgato Facecam MK.2 still looked worse and less natural than the Obsbot Meet 2 did straight out of the box for me (for the same price)"
"I couldnt get the facecam to not look washed out.."

facecam mk2 100%
r/Twitch • Which face cam should I get as a beginner streamer? ->About the same tbh. The MK2 might have a better base setting color wise and slightly larger fov , but they both do 1080p60fps. Another choice, though, could be an OBSBOT. I remember hearing good things about them, and they run $70-150 depending on the model. The tracking feature is an interesting bonus
r/streaming • Best webcam under 150$? (I want the best quality) ->I'm a fan of the Elgato Facecam. I've had both the Mk 1 and Mk 2, and love them both. Software is good but not perfect. Good in low and bright light. Good color accuracy. Ability to utilize LUTs if you want.
r/streaming • Which face cam should I get as a beginner streamer? ->I have the Elgato MK2 and it doesn't have the same problems as the Facecam Pro. It's also 1080p. But I plug it directly into my computer, cuz otherwise if I put it into an interface, I don't get the 1080. Otherwise I love it.
r/Twitch • My Elgato Facecam Pro is not good :( ->Facecam Neo, Facecam MK.2 and Facecam 4K are now Switch 2 compatible after a firmware update Learn more - [https://www.elgato.com/us/en/explorer/products/camera/how-to-use-your-elgato-webcam-with-nintendo-switch-2/](https://www.elgato.com/us/en/explorer/products/camera/how-to-use-your-elgato-webcam-with-nintendo-switch-2/)
r/elgato • 📢 Introducing Facecam 4K — 4K60 Studio Webcam, DSLR-Like Quality at 60 FPS, Supports 49mm Lens Filters and HDR ->people are giving you great webcam options already, but was gonna say make sure to check ebay for some savings. The amount of people who will buy expensive products to stream, then give up quick, means there are a ton of good, lightly used, streaming equipment on there so could easily get the elgato face cam mk2 for a deal, and is one I personally have used and it looks great. Def a great webcam to get and only upgrade to it, imo, would be going down the DSLR camera as a webcam road.
r/streaming • Best webcam under 150$? (I want the best quality) ->I have two Logitech BRIOs sitting on the shelf, because they're useless basket-case shitgoblins. They error out, overheat, glitch, disconnect, and generally are just trash. I bought two because the whitesheet made them look like the perfect webcam. They are not. They look WORSE than a c920 even in perfect lighting somehow. I'll regularly take one off the shelf and update the software and firmware to see if it's fixed yet. Still no, so far. I'd recommend one of the Elgato Facecams if you're going with a webcam. The Mk2 or Pro both are at the upper end of what a webcam is going to be capable of, and punch almost on-par with a starter grade DSLR/mirrorless.
r/Twitch • Best webcams? Vs Logitech brio 4k? ->Elgato c920 is the gold-standard starter cam. You can find them on-sale for around $50 usually. Of those three, I'd go with the Elgato. Avoid the BRIO like the basket-case shitgoblin it is (I have two sitting on the shelf, they're worthless little turdbuckets that constantly error and look like absolute crap, even compared to a c920; I bought them when they first came out as their whitesheet makes them look like the perfect cam, but THEY ARE NOT). > Btw, I do stream at 4k60 You must be streaming to YouTube, then? Because Twitch's max bitrate would make any 4K60 stream look like hot fried poop. Absolutely unwatchable. Doubling down on the Facecam Mk2 (or bump up to the Pro), it's going to give the best quality out of the three.
r/Twitch • Which face cam should I get as a beginner streamer? ->The Facecam mk2 is a solid device. Remember that you'll hear complaints from those with problems, and nothing from all the people for whom it works without issues. I *will* point out that they just brought out the Facecam4K though; I'm waiting until Black Friday to see if there's a price drop since it's only about a month away, and plan to pick up a couple of them for my workbench setup. While 4K60 might kinda be overkill for a 1080p stream, it also allows you to pull a cleaner chromakey if you plan to use a greenscreen, and lets you "zoom in" (by resizing up to native and cropping the cam) with no picture quality loss, where a 1080p60 cam would turn into a much more pixelated view.
r/Twitch • Anyone able to successfully use the Elgato Facecam mk2 to stream PC games? Other webcam recommendations? ->Whatever you do, don’t get the brio. I’d lean towards the OBSbot. It’s the same price as the Facecam MkII, and yeah you’ll only be streaming at 1080p, but the image will be that much sharper if your face cam is ever full screen if you’re running the webcam at 4k. The downside is, it’s only 30 fps so you’ll get a lot of motion blur unless you can change the shutter speed. If all you want is 1080p60, the Mk II is a fine choice and opens up the camera hub software for you which is a great piece of software.
r/streaming • Which face cam should I get as a beginner streamer? ->just got my facecam mk 2 a couple weeks ago its honestly great.
r/streaming • Which face cam should I get as a beginner streamer? ->I bought the webcam mk2 and it lags pretty bad under any kind of load, I would probably recommend any other elgato webcam
r/elgato • Which webcam for streaming. ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
