"Also, unexpected bonus, the Insta360 is smaller and lighter than the Facecam Pro. ... The Facecam had so much mass that it would subtly bounce with my leg, and nobody said anything about it until I moved to the new camera and the bouncing stopped lol."
"has good depth of field for something so small."

"the ability to easily tilt it down is awesome. For instance, if I wanted to have a view of me playing guitar or keyboard, it's really easy to adjust to capture that."

"The original Insta360 Link does not work either."
"Insta 360 Link 2C does work; just not as a camera."
"I tried my Logitech Brio 4K and my Insta360 Link. Both showed up as “Camera connected” and “Now using USB Mic,” but neither shows as connected when you test them."
I have both the Elgato Facecam Pro and the Insta360 Link 2. I just got the Insta360 as a potential upgrade. My experience is that the Facecam Pro may be capable of a technically sharper image, but I could never get it to look as good. The auto balancing for exposure and color correction was terrible in my experience. After spending hours with it, I was able to get it to look good in one lighting setting. If that lighting changed, it would get horribly washed out and I'd have to do new manual settings. It's reviewed as a great camera, I just had a poor experience with it in practice. The Insta360 is just very slightly not as sharp (and is not capable of 4k60fps if that's important to you). But it's been a much friendlier camera for me. I still played with some settings and have some stuff on manual, but it's a lot more plug and play. The tracking is cool for keeping me centered in frame, and the ability to easily tilt it down is awesome. For instance, if I wanted to have a view of me playing guitar or keyboard, it's really easy to adjust to capture that. Also, unexpected bonus, the Insta360 is smaller and lighter than the Facecam Pro. I am a TERRIBLE leg bouncer. The Facecam had so much mass that it would subtly bounce with my leg, and nobody said anything about it until I moved to the new camera and the bouncing stopped lol. Also worth noting the Insta360 is a good bit cheaper than the Facecam Pro. I personally got good value and quality out of both cameras. Happy to DM you a YouTube link to one of my VODs before and after I made the camera change if it helps
r/Twitch • Good quality webcam ->I have the Insta360 Link 2 and it looks great, even better than my old Elgato Facecam Pro that I ended up selling.
r/Twitch • Look for a digital camera for streaming ->I use an instalink 360 and it works really great. I've tried a Logitech Brio and a Lumina 4k also, but I like the instalink the best. https://amzn.to/4fAm268
r/homeoffice • What's your personal choice for a webcam? ->Insta 360 Link 2 https://www.insta360.com/product/insta360-link2 I used Logitech for years, upgraded to the Insta 360.
r/homeoffice • Best webcam with a GREAT mic? ->OBSbot Meet 2 or the Insta360 Link 2. Both are around the same price, something like $120-130, and both look especially good for webcams. I would probably stay away from getting a mirrorless or dslr unless you plan on using it as something other than a dedicated streaming camera as well. I have an old a5100 that I use, but I bought it for photography first and just happen to use it as a stream camera. Even used on MPB, just the body for an a5100 is still $300 or so. Then you tack on a lens, capture card, etc. it starts to get real pricey to justify buying one exclusively for streaming unless you’re someone that draws in a ton of viewers.
r/streaming • Upgrading camera ->the insta 360 ai/link 2 is dog meat. It’s constant software issues and have to fix things. I returned mine lol
r/elgato • Is Elgato Facecam Pro after 3 years of release still worth it? ->I just upgraded my Logitech Brio to the Insta360 Link 2. Wish I hadn’t TBH I don’t like the tracking features as much as I thought. Camera quality of both is pretty phenomenal though.
r/macmini • Best Webcam for Video Conferencing ->It was the Logitech Brio 4k. Want to say one of the earliest versions. The Link 2 has amazing image quality I just don’t need the AI and tracking like I thought I might.
r/macmini • Best Webcam for Video Conferencing ->maybe insta 360 link 2? It is cheaper than Insta 360, which I have and it's picture quality is great.
r/CamGirlProblems • Best camera/Webcam for streaming? ->We are using Logitech Brio 4k and Insta360 Link-2. With proper lighting and decent microphones, these two are performing well for us.
r/obs • Best webcam under 150$? ->I use the Link 2 for Zoom meetings and it is great - except I have to keep altering the default resolution back to 4k from 720p after joining a Zoom meeting. This is the only setting that I need to alter. Not a game changer for most. But the rest is kept - mine is set to 1.2x zoom for example. There are also presets in the link controlling software to alter the position if required. The controlling software will automatically open, as this controls the camera - but once set (apart from the resolution above) you can just ignore. If happy with 720p you never need to look at the link controlling software. Note that my comments are for the Link as opposed to the link 2 - but can't see how it differs too much. I strongly recommend it.
r/Insta360 • Is the Link 2C the right choice for Teams/Zoom meetings ? ->I have a MacBook and use the Insta360 link 2. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have a remote control outside of the desktop or phone app, Link controller. Also, if you also have an iPhone...you can stream from your MacBook but use the camera on your iPhone. I don't know how it works if you don't have an iPhone. I prefer my webcam over my phone because I feel like I have more control over my webcam, but I do want to start using my phone at some point for different angles and requests I am getting where I might want a different angle without messing with my webcam. In SM connect, under camera, my iPhone camera is detected and listed as a choice for the camera, so I have just selected in to use as the camera while I am streaming from the MacBook. I didn't notice SM categorizing me as a mobil user when I was just using it as my camera but still streaming from my MacBook.
