"I've seen the Brio 4K for good prices on eBay. I could grab one for £50-£60. Not too bothered if it's second hand because a camera either works or doesn't lol....I don't need it new. ... I bagged a Brio 4K for £56."

"The brio is pretty good for its price."

"would never recommend that due to it's image quality and settings that you can't adjust unless you want the camera to be lagging."

"Mine was hot garbage, no matter how perfect I made my lighting."

"I have done everything in my power to make it look good and it only looks DECENT in perfectly lit situations."

"Original Logitech Brio 4k - does not work. ... Tried USB-A ports on the dock and USB-C port on the top (with a 5gbps USB-C 3.x cable). Neither is happy."

"Dang, I have the exact same model and it’s not working for me. I’m on the latest firmware (2.9 iirc) ... Interesting that you need to downgrade the firmware ... Yeah another user reported their BRIO was working on version 1 firmware. Took me some time to find a copy of version 1 firmware and hoping we can see a later version of v1 firmware"

"My logitech Brio 4k doesn't seem to work... ... The switch 2 recognises the camera and the built-in microphone in this webcam works, but it doesn't show any picture..."

"the brio for me was a bit finicky at unlocking. Especially in the dark."

"Also, you might need to get special software to access the IR cam, idk how to get access to it without windows hello"

"The camera is exceptional but comes with absolutely no usable software for MAC therefore is pretty much useless (totally the opposite on Windows) ... They promised "Logitech Capture" for Mac and NEVER delivered..."

I was a Senior Enterprise AE SasS and always used a pro camera. I had a Logitech Brio 4k, and now have a Logitech MX Brio Ultra HD 4K , and OBSBOT Tiny 2 Webcam 4K. Laptop cameras are generally poor quality. I also use an external microphone HyperX Quarcast 2.

I use a logitech Brio 4K, which is great. But would nevertheless recommend the Brio 500. Which performs similar but costs a lot less

I have a Logitech Brio 4k as well. It does not work via usb c or with an adapter. I have a cheap MS one that does work via USB A directly to the dock. Edit: I am on the latest firmware as well. 2.0.28

I use a Brio 4k webcam by Logitech. Works great though no matter how good the came is, without good lighting they will all look bad.

I have a Logitech Brio 4k and Logitech Litra. I tried the Logitech beam but doesn’t work with my set up well. I’m NOT a potato cam on camera person so if I camera is on, it’s worth it. So yes the Logitech equipment is mine and I don’t use what my company sent me but I also don’t use the monitors they sent and instead use my 38” ultra wide LG.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give an update on this. Allegedly we purchased a Lenovo webcam that was Windows Hello Certified but wasn't (Classic Lenovo, I've had extremely bad luck with them) I ended up getting a BRIO Ultra HD Webcam and that works like a charm.

(Edit to put this at top - I wouldn't recommend a Brio 100 (101?) because it is fixed-focus). I've had a Logitech C920 (lowest price looks to be around $60) for several years and it's never given trouble. Also a Logitech Brio 4k ($130). I've also tried no-name webcams and ended up with something that randomly disappears in the middle of meetings (this wasn't Fedora-specific). If it was me, I would go $10 over budget and get a C920 (the diffs between C920/C920e/C920X are minor and mostly what software is bundled with it, so inconsequential). Definitely *don't* get a Brio 101 or 301, or a C270 - they are within your budget, but all three are fixed-focus. (Brio 4k is autofocus like the C920, but double the price, because of the hugher resolution) (I got my first Logitech product back in 1985 (C7 mouse) and have never had a quality problem with any of their products.)

I like the Logitech C920 when I was starting out. Currently have the 2017 version of the Logitech BRIO, would never recommend that due to it's image quality and settings that you can't adjust unless you want the camera to be lagging. Currently working on the Insta360 Link2C due to a recent RandomFrankP vid. Another option you can try is using a Canon camera, my buddy is using a Rebel T7 with canon's webcam software, best quality I've seen.

Do NOT get the Brio. It's laggy as soon as you take off auto exposure. Multiple people in my group of friend streamers have said this and I have too. Definitely would recommend the OBSBOT Tiny 2 Lite best bang for your buck and it's a sort of PTZ with Ai tracking. It's been an absolute dream while pairing it with Nvidia broadcast's no background tool
