"Literally couldn't think of any pair of IEMs + dongle dacs could sound as analytical as the C3P+ for around $70. ... detail is just sooo much better. The C3P+ is just leagues ahead the I5 in terms of detail and resolution. ... the C3P+ is actually the closest sounding one to really expensive iems or headphone that I have."
"delivers the full package here. ... betting the house regarding this on this pair was fully worth it. ... It matches up (I would not say surpasses) a lot of wired in-ear monitors within this price bracket and slightly above. ... The prowess it shows in keeping the instrument separation clean is something that I really, really appreciate myself for buying this pair, not to mention the rumbly yet controlled, precise lows keep on coming and the highs soar without spice, without hurting your ears."
"Nothing short of a home run, here- the Ear once again brings me all; the way the bass hits on this track is very impactful but not bloated, punchy but not overpowering, and Kendrick’s powerful vocals shine through bright, while I enjoyed the way the Sax keeps on coming in at the right junctions of the song, and the way the cymbals play out on this track is probably one of the best I have heard through amongst all the gear that I have owned and currently own- the first in a wireless, and one of the few if I consider all. ... the timbre sounds natural and uncoloured"

"I have the ear shape where in-ear headphones always make a loud bumping sound when I'm moving, so AirPods 4 give the benefits of noise cancelling and great sound without the in-ear effect. ... AirPods 3 always fell out my left ear but they dialed in the size perfect for the 4's, they sit perfect and I've never had it fall out or shake loose doing sprints and a full marathon."
"Took them on a 2hr walk with my dog today and had no issues. First IEMs I can actually wear laying on my side in bed."
"after 80+ miles on our last trip, I was the only one without foot problems of any kind."

"I use it for the same reasons and love it. ... I would not consider the regular Apple Watch because of battery life."
"the battery life easily lasts 10+ hours."

"They're pretty water resistant, I've (accidentally) sent them through the wash in my pants pocket and they still work just fine."
"I sweat heavily while running and never had that issue ran at least 1700kms with them and no issues."
"I haven't been able to kill them with my sweat yet. ... I went through a couple other brands of similar headphones that would die after a run or two, I believe my sweat killed them."

"The fit just doesn't feel right ... its heavy after an hour of use so who cares about battery life ... may as well get some over ears for comfort."
"I had the same problem and returned them."
"The Sony headphones did not fit properly ... I lost one pair"

"I tried several different songs/types of music and keep switching between my OG PBP and these, and the OG PBP blow them out of the water in regards to sound. ... these are the worst sounding earbuds I've ever used. And I own APP 2, OG PBP, and AirPods 4. And I love them all"
"Similar experience in the gym, they actually ruined the workout lol"
"But the sound is awful. ... It is inferior to the previous and definitely inferior to the Sennheiser Sport which I have. ... the high / treble is painful and tinny. ... The lows don't exist. ... You raise the volume and it is shrill almost and feels like it will destroy your ears, you keep the volume low and you don't hear anything in the low range."

"the case stopped charging the buds tonight (the case is fully charged). ... Garbage is garbage."

"for some reason when playing a song they keep stopping. ... A quick press of the button and song picks up where it stopped but three times while playing one song. Again phone in loose shorts side pocket screen outward."
"The pair I have stopped working after 8 months. ... Intermittently only one ear would connect when I put them in (it would switch between left and right) and now the right one won't connect at all."
"Randomly my right ear bud started to disconnect ... after going through some trouble shooting I forgot this device but now what’s happening is the right ear bud won’t charge at all. ... With the right earbud not making connection at all I can’t even get the case to connect either lol. ... taken into consideration that these are 11 days old and I’ve not used them every day"

"I looked forward to these because I liked the thought of the heart sensor built in but very disappointed."
"Automatic Switching between Apple Devices not there, a feature all Apple users live 👎🏾"
"missing so many features that AirPods Pro 2 and even AirPods 4 supports: - Adaptive Audio - Conversation Awareness - Personalized Volume - Head gestures to respond to notifications - Hearing protection - Hearing assistance"
Same here. Transparency mode for when I could be near traffic, livestock, dogs etc. Noise cancelling for the rest of the time
Got them today. I had the PBP1 for about 3 years. I tried swapping them back & forth during the same songs & PBP1 sounds fuller, deeper. I used the xl tips to make sure it was a tight seal. The PBP2 sound tinnier, the midrange/treble sounding slightly lower quality, probably due to the new smaller driver size. I’m torn on returning them because I was really looking forward to these. But my old ones sound just fine/possibly better : /
After comparing them some more, there’s no question about it; the old ones just sound fuller/better. As much as I like the new design I’m gonna return them this weekend.
I would definitely go with the Powerbeats Pro 2 https://amzn.to/3HUwPxp
Based on what you said about integration, sound quality, and qol. I definitely think they are better than airpods.
Just got my v2, updated it, tested the fit, and then did an extensive sound comparison test against Powerbeats Pro 1, AirPods Pro 1 & 2, Sony XM4, and DT990 Pro (Motu M2). The most disappointing comparison was against its own gen 1...as the OP said, the highs are tiny, harsh, and the mids are muddy/unclear overall at some point. I would rank the PBPv2 last on my list. I will promptly return it and continue to use the gen 1, despite its battery issues.
They are terrible for $29.95 TJ Maxx grab and go so the $250 they cost hurts. Coming from Galaxy Buds Pro 2 these are ridiculously bad sounding. Tinny and flat. MKBHD was lavishing the praise for these so I thought I'd give them a try. Super disappointed. What is another over the ear option that someone could recommend.
Since I’ve tried them which has been long but noise cancellation seems a lot weaker than AirPods Pro 2s and sound quality seems a lot weaker . Hoping for possible update hopefully . Like the fit very well . Will test for another week before possibly returning.
Been using Powerbeats pro for years, they’re great for working out. I just upgraded to the 2nd version they’re great
Got these today. I can’t stress enough how important it is to choose the correct ear tip for your ears. I usually use medium or large tips, but after playing a couple of songs, I immediately hated the sound. Then I tried the small tips, and they fit me best—what a difference in sound. Remember, larger tips don’t always mean a better seal. If you have small ear canals like me and choose a larger tip thinking they will over seal, it won’t fit properly and will likely pop back out instead of sealing correctly. Take the time to find the size that fits you best. If you’re still not happy with the sound, it might not just be the “fit” for you—the sound signature, rather than the quality seems to be a reason why many people dislike these headphones. I personally am not a big fan of this new neutral sound Apple is “testing out” for the AP3, but I don’t hate it either. If they still don’t work for you, don’t force yourself to like them, just return them.
The Powerbeats pro 2 were a huge disappointment but they’re the only headphones that won’t fall out of my ear. The sound quality, ANC, Passthrough, Find My integration and lack of conversation awareness and boost make it absolutely criminal of them to ask $250. But they don’t fall out lol.
I own both so I can speak for this comparison : 1. I totally agree. But it's not like the PBP2s are AirPods 4 ANC level, no. They're better than that and pretty near the APP2s, given you have the right ear tips size. 2. True, but in my case I don't even use anything MagSafe, so just having USB-C and Wireless Charging is massive since the APP2s can charge via the Apple Watch puck. 3. Yes it does. It even has multipoint, as I just proved it just now. The lack of "always on the widget" feature the APP2s have does make me sad but I can just check for battery whenever I wanna use it. 4. It's rumored to come in a future update. It's an H2 exclusive feature so it'd be a crime if Apple didn't use it since even the AP4s have it. 5. Yeah, but that's what you'd expect from a performance oriented earbuds. Still miles better than the 1st gens. 6. IPX4 water resistance do you mean? The PBP2s have IPX4 for both case and earbuds like the APP2s 7. Well, yes it's kind of a gimmick. But you gotta remember it only kicks in when you're in an activity that needs it. If not then it's just idle, sucking up no extra battery at all. Yes, I agree though, the APP2s are still superior but to say WAY BEHIND is just isn't fully true. The PBP2s sound better IMHO, definitely fit better, ARGUABLY looks better, and is more versatile since it's performance-oriented to begin with. And to expect Beats to create earbuds that are better than Apple's own flagship earbuds is just never a good expectation to have. Beats are under Apple's umbrella now, no way are they gonna let them be better than AirPods Pros. Plus they don't technically directly compete against each other anyways since the APPs are more for daily / casual use whilst the PBPs are more for athletes or people that move around a lot. Just my take, though :)
