"amazing, amazing, amazing ANC performance for earbuds! ... not even close in ANC performance vs these (Bose QuietComfort Earbuds (2024)) ... I, for ANC, prefer the approach Bose takes, blocking out pretty much all frequencies."

"Noise cancellation is solid. ... It's on the level of the Bose QC Earbuds, my previous daily driver, and actually sounds cleaner and feels better in the ear. ... Yes! I was also surprised by how good ANC is compared to the Bose buds. ... 10 ... The ANC on the PBP2 is better. ... Mine are much, much better than both my PBP1 and my Bose QCs."

"noise cancelling headphones are such a blessing for me. i've always been sensitive to noise and i get overstimulated easy when out in public. they give me silence and privacy when I need it. worth every cent!"

"I put them in my ear, put the helmet on, then do one final “push” with my finger to seat them in my ear for the ride. ... The batteries die before they work out of my ear."

"they are so comfortable that both I and my husband have had to feel our ears to check whether we were still wearing them."

"Also super bonus I've never head banged with earphones this hard besides with these soundcores, they stick to me like glue even when I'm in a metal mood and I'm headbanging for a good hour."

"it sounds fucking amazing. ... I was blown away at Best Buy. I thought this was fake somehow like there is no way this thing is producing that bass and that level. ... The speaker is phenomenal. ... At first it was almost too bass heavy; but after an hour or two of playtime it broke in and the mids came alive, without loosing any bass. ... it still sounds fucking incredible."

"DIRAC which is like Dolby sound, so the soundstage is immersive and incredible. ... I could hear the orchestra turning the pages of their music. I could hear the hair of the bow as it glided across the bridge of a violin. It was like being in the middle of a concert hall. It was a little insane for this price range. ... The music had a broader soundstage back then in the studio...they took their time. Tweak your streaming service to lossless quality too, and then close your eyes and imagine the music happening TO YOU. Music should be a whole experience, not a time killer."

"still have quality sound and bass ... With a slight adjustment in the bass on Spotify + spatial sound, the Airpods fly! The bass and quality of the Airpods almost reach the same level as the XM4!"

"the Cloud II's microphone sounded the best, the clearer on every single audio device I've tested. I'm still recovering from that one to be honest. It was a surprise that went against everything I've seen on reviews so I'd like to really underline that one because most people thing the Cloud II microphone isn't good. Well, these are the HP version so maybe the reworked HP version actually improved the microphone. ... It's one of the best microphones i've used. Your voice sounds crisp and clear even if you're speaking lower."

"mic crushes the Sony LinkBuds S in noisy/quiet settings ... keeps your voice natural"

"better call quality"

"Literally couldn't think of any pair of IEMs + dongle dacs could sound as analytical as the C3P+ for around $70. ... detail is just sooo much better. The C3P+ is just leagues ahead the I5 in terms of detail and resolution. ... the C3P+ is actually the closest sounding one to really expensive iems or headphone that I have."

"Crazy good from the jump! ... When you factor in they're only $99 and go toe-to-toe with Bose QC Ultra at $299, this is the deal of the year!"

"Can't recommend them enough for the value, sound like $200 earphones."

"I tried anc in samsung buds pro and immediately turned it off because of cabin pressure."

"The ANC version doesn't do the best job of noise cancellation anymore; I think water got in some of the mics and caused issues."

"If I go at a busy time at the gym I can barely hear my music over the machines making the treadmill even harder."

r/EarbudsAre Vorago wireless earbuds a decent option? Any recommendations?

I’d be careful with the Vorago ESB-401. Sound quality is good, but reliability seems poor. Volume issues after a few months are common, and the battery/case build isn’t very durable. If I were you, I’d go with the EarFun Air 4 pro instead. Sound is clear with punchy bass, ANC is decent, and they’re more reliable long-term with solid battery life—around 9h per charge, 36h with the case. https://amzn.to/45VetWl

Me too have fit problem with the air pro 4+. Since you have both the air pro 4 & 4+, are they using same eartips? (I mean size/shape). Im intend to find an alternative eartips (maybe spinfit or something) to see if it can help better but no clue which one fit. To be hornest im so disapointed when first tried the 4+ but then it kinda not so bad but i think i still somehow get fot problem with it.

Also, Ive recently purchased soundpeats capsule 3pro, earfun air pro 4, nothing ear 2025, and denon perl pros. I returned all of them except the perl pros. the auto eq is amazing. These edge out my lib3pros, plus im having charging issues with the lib3pros. The denon perl pros put a smile on my face.. Fantastic earbuds.

H3 sound quality is better than Earfun Air Pro 4+ if you know how to properly EQ it. But if you just want to use it then Earfun Air Pro 4+. The Soundpeats Air 5 Pro+ just came out maybe you want to look around for reviews too.

What stands out to me. I'll try and help you decide. Get the Nothing Ear if you want a cool design, some deep bass, and squeeze controls. Don't buy it if you prioritize ANC. Get the Liberty 4 NC if you want a cool case (it lights up the buds, has a dual action button, and a cool light bar plus wireless charging), great ANC, and a quick gaming mode. Don't buy it if you need a great mic. Get the AirPods 4 if you need situational awareness, great battery life, and a great mic with surprisingly good sound quality. Don't buy them if you want ANC. Get The CMF 2 Pro buds if you want great overall sound quality, great transparency mode, and save a couple of bucks. Don't buy them if you want wireless charging, or a cheap feeling case. Get the Earfun 4 Pro Plus if you want Comfortable eartips, customizable EQ with lots of presets, and a product that checks almost every box (wireless charging, LDAC, spatial audio, ect). Don't buy them if transparency mode is important to you (has that plugged up voice effect going on) or if you want great ANC (it's good, just not great). What am I picking? They are all great for different reasons. If I have an iPhone, Airpods 4. If I have a Samsung or Android, probably the CMF Buds 2 Pro because they have better ANC and transparency than the Nothing Ear A, but yet similar sound quality and yet cost less usually. If I want to look cool, nothing ear a. If I want the best ANC experience, Liberty 4 NC. If I want the best sound quality, CMF Buds 2 Pro. If I want something that is a jack of all trades but master of none, Earfun 4 Pro Plus.

I currently have the OnePlus and the earfun, so I can comment on those. If you have the extra money get the OnePlus as they are the latest tech, but if you're on the budget get the ear fun as they are still great but one plus gets them by 1 point (earfun 7.5 , oneplus 8.5)

Since you're an Apple guy, you have the money, lol, so I recommend the OnePlus Buds Pro 3, or their Buds 4, very good on both with deep bass and good sound quality. If you're budget-conscious, try the Earfun Air Pro 4. They don't look like it, but they are pound-for-pound some of the best buds you can get on the market.

OnePlus clearly put in the work here, and the Buds 4 deliver in a lot of areas — but the real question is, are they worth the extra $50–80 depending on the sale? Let’s get into it. \------------------------------------- # 🔧 Look and Build Quality I’ve gotta give OnePlus some real credit here, they came through with a better look, especially in that green colorway. It's sleek, stylish, and stands out in a world of boring black and white earbuds. Earfun gives you black (standard), navy blue (which is so dark it might as well be black), and white... but let’s be honest, white earbuds are Apple’s domain. So design-wise, OnePlus wins with personality. In terms of build quality, OnePlus did their thing again. These are smooth, lightweight, and have that "premium but not too flashy" vibe. They’re light but don’t feel cheap at all. Now the Earfuns? Yeah... they look like your standard generic earbuds. I was honestly put off by them at first because they scream "budget" just by the look. But once I gave them a listen, that all changed (more on that below). **Winner: OnePlus** **----------------------------------** # 🦻 Fit and Comfort The OnePlus Buds 4 are extremely comfortable. The lightweight design makes them basically disappear in your ears after a while. I swap out the included silicone tips for foam tips (as always), and with those, the fit is snug and stays in place. I had zero issues after a few hours of listening — no fatigue, no pressure. Earfun also does a good job here. They're lightweight too, and I never had major discomfort, but I do get more fatigue over time compared to the OnePlus buds. It's subtle, but noticeable during long sessions. So while both are good, OnePlus edges them out. **Winner: OnePlus** **---------------------------------** # 🔗 Connection This one’s not even close. OnePlus crushed it. You get Google Fast Pair, and the second I opened the case for the first time, my phone, tablet, and laptop (all on and nearby) popped up the pairing animation like its suppsoed to work. Super smooth. After the initial setup, opening the case connects you instantly, no delays. Plus, multipoint is here and it works well, even across brands (not just the same ecosystem, *cough* Samsung *cough*). Earfun, on the other hand... it’s fine. But sometimes it feels like it’s thinking about whether or not it wants to connect. Sometimes it’s fast, like 1 second. Other times, it takes 7–8 seconds and has that weird interference stutter like you're about to go out of range, even when the phone is sitting right next to it. It always connects eventually, but it’s not that "instant, confident" connection. **Winner: OnePlus** **----------------------------------** # 🎧 Sound Quality & EQ OnePlus has always been known for great sound and punchy bass, and they’ve kept that tradition going. Bass is rich, deep, and has that subwoofer-style rumble that echoes in your ears. It’s powerful, but controlled, doesn’t drown out the mids and highs. Vocals are crisp, instrumentation sounds layered, and the overall signature is energetic and fun. The “Golden Sound” feature actually works — adds about 10–15% more clarity and volume boost to your music. The Earfun Air Pro 4s? Honestly, incredible for $50. They go toe-to-toe with OnePlus in most areas. Bass is there , deep and impactful. Mids and highs are clear too, but just slightly flatter compared to the OnePlus. If you A/B test them, OnePlus has about a 10% edge in depth and clarity. The Earfuns do get louder overall, but that loudness doesn’t come with more richness, just more volume. **Winner: OnePlus (by about 10%)** **Edit update: While listening to music on the phone has been great, trying to play music on my laptop from Youtube is producing a teeny sound, I am not sure what happening here. But I reset the buds and cycleed my computer and its still the same, I can barely hear music or voices, but I can on my other buds.** **This will be concerning if this persist.** **----------------------------------** # 🔇 ANC and Transparency This is probably the second most important thing for people (or first depending on how much you commute/travel/work in noisy places). OnePlus Buds 4 have excellent ANC, especially in the low to mid ranges. I tested them with a dryer running and it completely wiped out the low hum. The only thing I could hear was the occasional metallic *clink* from a zipper. Same with YouTube’s airplane cabin noise test (played through my 500w surround setup) the rumble disappeared. High-end noises, though? That’s where it stumbled a bit. It didn’t block out my laptop keyboard typing, and café chatter came through more than I expected. Now the Earfuns? Surprisingly better at the high-end. They can block out my keyboard clicking where OnePlus couldn't, and they’re about the same when it comes to café noise. But they lag behind in low-end ANC, you’ll still hear engine hums or dryer noise faintly. Transparency Mode is good on both. OnePlus sounds a bit more natural. Earfuns can sound slightly artificial when no music is playing, but it’s not bad. **Winner: OnePlus by a small margin** **----------------------------------------** # 🎤 Mic Quality Mic quality matters a lot to me as I’m constantly on calls for work and talking to friends and family in the evening. I hate holding the phone to my ear, so my earbuds need to perform. In quiet environments, both are great. Loud, clear, no complaints. But when you throw in background noise? That’s where OnePlus pulls ahead. I tested both with YouTube “Office Sounds” playing on my surround system and using the Voice notes app and left myself voicemails. OnePlus handled it really well, my voice came through strong, and while you could hear a *hint* of background noise, it never took over. This is just a step below the black magic Samsung is doing on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Earfun... not so much. As soon as that office noise kicked in, my voice got buried. You could tell I was talking, but good luck making out every word. **Winner: OnePlus with background noise (Equal in quiet environments)** **---------------------------------** # 🧠 Final Thoughts So what’s the verdict? The OnePlus Buds 4 are a strong 9/10. These are some of the most complete earbuds I’ve used under $100. If you already own the Earfun Air Pro 4, I wouldn’t say you need to run out and upgrade , the difference is about 10–15% in overall experience, so not night and day. But if you’re choosing between the two for your first buy? I’d say spend the extra and get the OnePlus Buds 4. Right now, they’re around $100 on Amazon with a coupon, while the Earfuns sit at about $55. If you're on a tight budget, the Earfuns are still the best $50 buds in the game, no question. But OnePlus is showing what a little extra polish and R&D can get you. Personally, I’m going to hold off and wait for the OnePlus Buds Pro 4, those should be absolute killers. But I’m also curious to see how Earfun responds with the Air Pro 5, so that battle will definitely be one to watch. # TL;DR * **OnePlus Buds 4**: Worth the hype. Great all-around buds for $100. * **Earfun Air Pro 4**: Still the best budget buds. If you already have these, no need to upgrade. * If you’re buying your first pair and can afford the extra, go with the **OnePlus Buds 4**.

[My ranking order](https://preview.redd.it/ogh1cyly7o1g1.jpg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6785c43cb9c82aa65f8ba468e00cd87dd0d6cb3c) Here is my comparison of the OnePlus Buds 4 vs the Earfun Air Pro 4+, since I think these are the best earbuds on the market for under $100 (or even better when on sale). The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 were the first earbuds to pull me away from Samsung priducts, and I am Samsung everything else for my devices, because they were just that good. Then I tried the Earfun Air Pro 4 and could not believe that earbuds at a quarter of the price of Samsung and OnePlus Pro models could be better. They became my daily drivers for a year until the Earfun 4+ came out. I reviewed the OnePlus Buds 4 compared to the original Earfun Pro 4 earlier this year, and they were very close, so I had to double back and compare OP4 vs EP4+. I am actually shocked at the differences. I tested these in the office, in the gym, and on a quick plane trip, so these are real-world comparisons. # --------- # Design and Comfort Both are all plastic (which is a downgrade for OnePlus from the Buds 3), but the OnePlus Buds 4 (OP4) feel slightly more premium in how they’re built. Plus, the green color is just clean and stands out. The OnePlus also fits better in my ear because the Earfun Pro 4+ (EP4+) has a bigger build compared to the original Earfun Pro 4 (EP4), and that larger size makes the fit less comfortable for me. The OP4 gives a better seal as well, since the bulb is smaller and sits deeper and more naturally in my ear for long listening sessions. # --------- # ANC and Transparency When I compared the OP4 vs EP4 earlier this year, I said their ANC was about the same with OP4 winning by a small margin. That is *not* the case here. The EP4+ has a much bigger bulb, so it doesn’t sit in my ear as well, and the ANC suffers. I even switched to my standard foam tips that I’ve used for five years for a true seal, and it still wasn’t as good. The EP4+ does a good job removing low-end noise, but high-end sounds like voices come through clearly. Meanwhile, the OP4 removes low-end noise so well it basically disappears, and it also does a clearly better job reducing higher-end noise. On my recent flight, voices on the EP4+ came through like I didn’t even have earbuds on, while the OP4 gave me that muffled “underwater” sound for voices that good ANC should have. Transparency is great on OP4. It sounds like you don’t have anything in your ears at all, no static, no speaker hiss, just natural environmental sound. EP4+ transparency is good, but if the room gets too quiet you’ll hear that empty “waiting for audio” speaker hiss. So for ANC and transparency, the OP4 is much better than the EP4+. Honestly, my original EP4 still has better ANC and transparency than the EP4+. I don’t know if a firmware update can fix that, but the bigger bulb is definitely hurting them. # --------- # Sound Quality I’m a bass head, and I *love* a good thump. OnePlus definitely has way more bass even out of the box, and when you turn it up in the EQ, it becomes a little subwoofer in your ear. The EP4+ has good bass, but when you compare them back-to-back, you realize they’re in two different leagues. OP4 gives you that concert-level bass impact. Both have clean highs and mids with good instrument separation (especially after EQ tuning), but OP wins the bass battle easily. The Earfuns do get louder overall though, and it’s very noticeable. Max volume on OP4 sounds like EP4+ at about two notches below max. Neither distorts at max volume, but OP4 reduces the bass at max volume. That subwoofer effect disappears and it becomes more of a small thump, roughly equal to EP4+. One notch down, the bass comes back. **Bug:** I found a bug on the OP4 with some YouTube and YouTube Music songs where I hear scratching artifacts in the background. It happens mostly on older tracks and it does *not* happen on EP4+. I tested with multipoint and single-device playback, and even wore OP4 in one ear and EP4+ in the other. The artifact is definitely only on OP4. Some people online say it’s a codec issue, but I’m not sure. So for sound quality, they are about the same unless you’re a bass head. If you are, OnePlus wins easily. # --------- # Microphones OnePlus has better mics for calls in noisy environments. I left myself a series of voicemails using both earbuds, in both quiet and loud settings, and OP4 was better every time in a noisy environment. In a quiet place they sound about the same, but in a noisy place the OP4 AI pulls your voice out more naturally and keeps the background under control. So OnePlus wins here. # --------- # Multipoint Both have true multipoint for any device (not locked to ecosystems), and both worked perfectly for me. I tested listening to music on my laptop, getting a call on my phone, and each earbud switched seamlessly and correctly. However, I did find an **OP4 bug**: Auto play/pause works perfectly on my phone, but not my laptop. Music pauses when I remove the earbuds, but it does *not* resume when I put them back in. EP4+ handles this correctly. Not sure what the issue is, but it needs a fix. # Overall Since OnePlus has the better fit, better ANC, better transparency, and better mics for calls, I would say the OP4 is the winner here. But honestly, the original Earfun Air Pro 4 still has better ANC and better mics than the 4+ to me, so I’m not sure what happened with this new model. Between the OnePlus Buds 4 and Earfun Air Pro 4+, I recommend the OnePlus. But if you’re on a budget, I still highly recommend the original Earfun Air Pro 4, which averages around $55 on Amazon and will make most people very happy.

I had the earfun Air pro 4 since September 2024, and we're my daily drivers since then. I have the pro 4+ now and the ANC is not as good as the pro 4, I also have the OnePlus buds 4 and they are great as well. These will probably be my new daily drivers
