Late to this, but I'm enjoying the Earfun OpenJump. They're currently on offer on Amazon, too. Sound from them is decent (for the money and style), battery life is good. Controls are a bit crap, but workable.
The Bose ultra open is my favorite low volume listening experience and its immersive sound mode is superior to all other spatial type settings. Its only weaknesses are call quality and maybe battery life. I bought mine refurbished for $190 so take that into account. The Pearl Clip and the Soundcore Aerofit 2 are very close in sound quality. The Earfun Openjump is the most comfortable with a very long battery life. Whichever one you buy, you will probably be pleased with.
Consider the Earfun Openjump. Doesn’t cover you ear canal, comfortable for all day wearing, has a great mic, and sounds very good for an open earbud.
My vote for most comfortable is the Earfun Open Jump. Great sound and microphone too. I wear them all day at work.
I feel your pain. I love the Liberty Pro 3 for the comfort, sound and noise canceling. I wear the Earfun open jump all day at work as I really can’t block out my coworkers. For open buds they check all the boxes for me. Also great for phone calls. The Earfun Air Pro 4 might do if you want really great bass and noise canceling.
If you don't want ANC why not check out an open pair instead of a transparency mode that might suck in wind and uses more battery. Like the EarFun OpenJump and some other ones that are well regarded. They are IPX7 so nice water protection plus 11/42 total hours battery. Good price right now if you have Amazon Prime or use the 30% code on the EarFun site.
You can try to buy some clip on or hook on style earbuds that don't go in the ear if that is causing any discomfort. Some options I would recommend are the Soundpeats PopClip or Pearlclip Pro. Soundcore also makes some great clips on earbuds that I've tried such as the c30i or c40i. And for hook on earbuds under 100 USD, I would mainly recommend the Earfun openjump.
If you want a budget alternative to Sh0kz, I love my EarFun OpenEar https://amzn.to/48elotz
I bought a set of Ear Fun buds after my official Google Pixel ones broke, been really happy with them so far, great sound, really good bass, nice top end, comfortable and the case charge lasts weeks! They were under £50 too.
