"The bass on the nothings is fantastic and i really like the sound they can push out with heavier faster music like deathcore, gabber, hard techno and such."

"Nothing Ear and Ear (a) have an absolutely incredible bass slider. ... I'll leave mine at level 2 and occasionally do the full 5, it's wonderful, it still sounds crystal clear no matter where you put it."

"very poor ANC"

"Noise cancellation in the Nothing Ear isn't amazing. It works but it could be a LOT better. If my Sony 1000XM4 is 10/10, then Apple would be like 7.5/10 and the Nothing would be like 5/10 for noise cancellation."

"the noise reduction is meh. ... When listening music can hear people talking. ... I don't like it."

"The transparency is trash though."

"my first call was very noisy. The other person said they could hear every noise that I made."

"the transparency is just awful and I need to take the buds out if I want to hear anything."

"So I had them for only a year before they stopped working"

I like the nothing ear (a) they’re better than AirPods in my opinion, only $100 so I’m not too worried about if I damage them or lose them. Noise canceling is good enough for me.

If I have the Nothing Ear (a) and I love it, worth getting Nothing Ear 2024 or should I consider Denon or Technics

Sony WF-1000XM5 are some of the best out there. I would also recommend the nothing ear 2 or the more budget nothing ear(a) which I personally use and they probably have the best audio quality in that price range. Tho I have absolutely no idea why you would spend 500$ for earbuds and if earbuds priced at that range exist, but all of these are 300$ or and below(ear 2 are 150$ and ear a should be about 90$).

Yeah, the ear(a) sound really good, no complaints about the quality but the ANC is not so good in my opinion, and if I recall correctly the ear 2 are much better in the ANC dep. But the ANC on the Sony buds are by far one of, if not the best out there, the quality should also be comparable or better.

If you can splurge out a little more $$, go for the Nothing Ear (2024). Sounds amazing, infinite customization with EQ, ANC is pretty decent tbh only struggles in some harsh edge cases (like most sub-200 USD earbuds). But between the two, I'd lean towards the Nothing Ear (a). It sounds really really good even though some people say ANC is only passable.

I would advise against Nothing's offerings. Nothing (ear) that I have I got them replaced once. The Battery doesn't last more than 2 hours after a while.

They sound nice, but the thing is they unfortunately fall out of my ears pretty easily. Just a thing to have in mind if you had similar problems before.
