"Literally couldn't think of any pair of IEMs + dongle dacs could sound as analytical as the C3P+ for around $70. ... detail is just sooo much better. The C3P+ is just leagues ahead the I5 in terms of detail and resolution. ... the C3P+ is actually the closest sounding one to really expensive iems or headphone that I have."

"delivers the full package here. ... betting the house regarding this on this pair was fully worth it. ... It matches up (I would not say surpasses) a lot of wired in-ear monitors within this price bracket and slightly above. ... The prowess it shows in keeping the instrument separation clean is something that I really, really appreciate myself for buying this pair, not to mention the rumbly yet controlled, precise lows keep on coming and the highs soar without spice, without hurting your ears."

"Nothing short of a home run, here- the Ear once again brings me all; the way the bass hits on this track is very impactful but not bloated, punchy but not overpowering, and Kendrick’s powerful vocals shine through bright, while I enjoyed the way the Sax keeps on coming in at the right junctions of the song, and the way the cymbals play out on this track is probably one of the best I have heard through amongst all the gear that I have owned and currently own- the first in a wireless, and one of the few if I consider all. ... the timbre sounds natural and uncoloured"

"I have the ear shape where in-ear headphones always make a loud bumping sound when I'm moving, so AirPods 4 give the benefits of noise cancelling and great sound without the in-ear effect. ... AirPods 3 always fell out my left ear but they dialed in the size perfect for the 4's, they sit perfect and I've never had it fall out or shake loose doing sprints and a full marathon."

"Took them on a 2hr walk with my dog today and had no issues. First IEMs I can actually wear laying on my side in bed."

"after 80+ miles on our last trip, I was the only one without foot problems of any kind."

I have the original OpenFit and wear them with sunglasses any time I run outside. Never had any problems with it. Wouldn't wear them in the gym tho, I've got noise cancelling earbuds for that.

I have both the Opendots and Openfit (1 not 2), and I like the sound signature of the Opendots a little better, although I think Openfit is a slight bit more full. Since I don’t have the Openfit2, I can’t say for sure, but I would guess it sounds pretty darn close to the Opendots. In my opinion, the choice between those two doesn’t come down to sound quality (they’re both great), but rather fit and style. Opendots don’t interfere with my glasses at all, so that gives them an edge. I’ve found the Opendots easier to wear for longer periods of time. Either way, you win!

It’s about the same thickness, but considerably smaller, maybe a bit more than half the size of the OpenFit case. It’s also much more rounded, so it fits in a pocket much easier.

I love my shokz and bought them for similar safety reasons. I bought the most basic/cheapest ones and I can’t see why I’d need an upgrade (unless I’m missing something?) I’m surprised at how good the sound quality is. I can’t deal with wearing them in the winter, though, because I get headaches if my ears aren’t covered. So I have some Bluetooth earmuffs for winter which are also not terribly noise-cancelling.

https://shokz.com/products/openfit2 I wear these, the sound quality is great, I can still hear my surroundings and they are comfortable to wear/stay in place if you run or jog Edit: Just noticed you said cheap. These are pretty pricy but I’ll leave the comment up in case anyone else is interested.

I wear Shokz Openfit, they don’t slip at all. The sound is great and you can hear your surroundings too.

I believe it. My openfit 1 sounds better than my brother's opendots. I'm pretty sure the openfit 2 will be superior

I’m really disappointed in my new OpenRun pros. Volume is so low that I often turn them off mid run. My older original Shokz had much better volume.

I recommend open-ear style headphones that are hooked to your ears but don't go in the ear canal. They are not bone conducting headphones so the sound quality is actually pretty good. They are very stable on technical terrain, even aggressive downhill running, and they don't block outside noise, which helps to be more aware of surroundings. One good choice Shokz OpenFit, but there are other choices, for example Bose or Oladance.

There are Shokz Open Fit 2 headphones that are similar to Oladance - I have both. They are not bone conducting.

Honestly, I have the first version of Openfit rather than second and yes, they are quieter. The second one is supposed to be a bit lower and have a more powerful bass. The second one also has physical buttons. But I like the sound quality. I was thinking about upgrading to the second version. Oladance OWS Pro seemed great at first but the quality is not there. I bought 2 pairs initially and both had issues. After much difficulty I managed to replace both on warranty. Replacements still work but one of them developed a background white noise.

I have been wanting to get the Opendots since they released, but I can't justify spending the $200 just yet. The Openfit 1 still sounds great, and battery life is still going strong even after 1 year and half of abuse (7 to 8 hours of use every day)

Also keep in mind because it doesn't create a seal, the bass would be severely lacking compared to ones with silicon tips. Did you try previously changing the tips to different sizes?

My only advice for the shokz that go completely around your head is to get the mini size instead of regular if you are petite or have a small head. My husband has the regulars and I tried them before I was going to purchase. I hated them. They seemed big and clunky on my head. I ended up purchasing the smaller size and they are perfect. I love them.
