"it sounds fucking amazing. ... I was blown away at Best Buy. I thought this was fake somehow like there is no way this thing is producing that bass and that level. ... The speaker is phenomenal. ... At first it was almost too bass heavy; but after an hour or two of playtime it broke in and the mids came alive, without loosing any bass. ... it still sounds fucking incredible."

"DIRAC which is like Dolby sound, so the soundstage is immersive and incredible. ... I could hear the orchestra turning the pages of their music. I could hear the hair of the bow as it glided across the bridge of a violin. It was like being in the middle of a concert hall. It was a little insane for this price range. ... The music had a broader soundstage back then in the studio...they took their time. Tweak your streaming service to lossless quality too, and then close your eyes and imagine the music happening TO YOU. Music should be a whole experience, not a time killer."

"still have quality sound and bass ... With a slight adjustment in the bass on Spotify + spatial sound, the Airpods fly! The bass and quality of the Airpods almost reach the same level as the XM4!"

"I have the ear shape where in-ear headphones always make a loud bumping sound when I'm moving, so AirPods 4 give the benefits of noise cancelling and great sound without the in-ear effect. ... AirPods 3 always fell out my left ear but they dialed in the size perfect for the 4's, they sit perfect and I've never had it fall out or shake loose doing sprints and a full marathon."

"Took them on a 2hr walk with my dog today and had no issues. First IEMs I can actually wear laying on my side in bed."

"after 80+ miles on our last trip, I was the only one without foot problems of any kind."

"Have run 3 half's and 2 fulls, never have ran out of battery provided they are properly charged beforehand."

"I use it for the same reasons and love it. ... I would not consider the regular Apple Watch because of battery life."

"the battery life easily lasts 10+ hours."

"never fall out"

"I had a rollover accident in Jan and did not lose one of them-they stayed on my ears during the rollover!"

"sweat resistant hold via the type of rubber on the buds. ... Water/sweat proof."

"I like that you can still hear background noise like traffic."

"I can hear my music and everything around me!"

"Hated the fit ... the lack of fin/wing to keep them put just made them totay wrong for my ears... Gutted."

"they fall out at the slightest head movement"

"I tried anc in samsung buds pro and immediately turned it off because of cabin pressure."

"The ANC version doesn't do the best job of noise cancellation anymore; I think water got in some of the mics and caused issues."

"If I go at a busy time at the gym I can barely hear my music over the machines making the treadmill even harder."

"First day of having them in for more than a few minutes (about 2 hours) and my ears HURT. ... A longer wear session was too painful though."

"too big"

"if it was windy at all the wind interference blowing across the speakers on the open-ear models is terrible and makes it so that you can hardly hear anything"

"the wind noise isn't great at 40 kmh. ... The p40is i picked up aren't super great with it. ... they do rather poor with wind noise at 40+ kmh."

"they don handle wind very well."

"But.... the case battery for me has been terrible. ... The battery life on the buds 2a themselves seems good though. ... 2a case and buds would be at 100%. I used the buds for about 20 minutes of phone calls, and returned to the case. The buds were about 92% when I put them back in. After a little bit, I checked the case and it was down to 70%. It used 30% just to charge the buds 8% each. That just doesn't seem right to me. ... I would estimate that using the buds 2A for a few weeks, that only using them for 2-3 hours and putting them back in the case drains the entire case battery."

"the case died like 3 months in and stopped charging"

"Careful with Sony, they have some problems with multiple models, battery drain on charging case, or one of the buds. ... I myself have this problem with Sony WF-C710N, battery was replaced and the problem is not gone. ... Charging case drains after listening and putting the buds inside to charge. ... Instead of 30 hours of listening I get 3-4 at most."

Open Fit 2-Shokz. Over the ear n still loud. For me the best sounding n best noise cancelling mic

r/EarbudsBest microphone earphones for noisy background?

Big difference. Open run is bone conducting n open fit 2 is over the ear. The mic on the open fit for me is much much better with noise cancelling. Both don’t go in your ears so plus for 8hr work day n the open fit 2 lasts almost all day talking n listening to music etc. open for 2 are much better for phone use imho. I have both n some soundcore models as well. I’ve tried many many different brands

Mainly the Openfit 2. The Openfit 2 are very light but the aero fit looks like they might be heavier.

Shokz Open Dot Runs or OpenFit 2’s are my new favorites. I don’t care for ANC and I really like the comfort. Otherwise I use AirPod Pro 2s or the Skullcandy Method 360’s for in ear.

Shokz OpenFit 2 would be my recommendation. They don’t fit in the ear but sit on the ear. Get pretty loud and very secure when running. They are very comfortable and even no issues laying on them. I would also say look into the opendots but they will be above your $200 after tax, but go for $199 If you have a Best Buy near you, they should have them on display to try as they don’t go in your ear.

I recommend looking into Shokz OpenFit 2. They are on ear earbuds. The hook will keep them secure and they are very light. Due to the on ear style they barely give any ear fatigue.

I vehemently disagree with your call quality rating. Open dots sound like a reverb far away hall way with no lower tones and thr aero line both clip and fit2 sound way more professional and office acceptable.

I've had Shokz OpenSwim (because I also swim) and absolutely love them, but I did just buy the more 'earbud' style Shokz OpenFit2 and I'm really excited to try those too. The OpenSwim have been great but don't work with my headband that I need now to keep my ears warm in winter.

I wish you could buy a legit sounding pair of hook style ear buds because I can't wear conventional ear buds because they never stay in, p.s I have a pair of Shokz Open Fit 2 which imo are the best open fit buds and they sound great, I just want ones that actually go in my ear.

I have the Shokz Openfit 2 and I love them especially considering I can't wear normal ear buds because they always fall out and I get ear fatigue after about 30 minutes. Also Shokz make the Opendots One which are supposed to sound even better but they are not available on Amazon UK just yet.

I have the OpenFit 2 set which aren't connected and wrap around your ears. They are FANTASTIC. kind of pricey but I got a bonus earlier this year and splurged. Highly recommend them though. I don't even feel them.

Not having something stuck in your ear is amazing. I use the shokz openfit2 for workouts and runs. They stay put and, so far, the sound quality is decent.

Have you looked at clip-on earbuds like the Soundcore AeroClip or C40i? I haven’t listened to the Nothing Open Ear, I’ve read they’re great but only if they sit exactly over your ear canals. They won’t sound good unless they have a good fit and it’s more difficult to get a good fit with them because they’re lacking ways to adjust them. I’ve listened to the Shokz OpenFit 2 and Soundcore Aerofit 2. I preferred the Aerofit 2 because you could adjust their angle, you can’t with the Shokz and the right one always stuck out more causing less bass on that side. I would also look at the Bose QC Open because they have more bass than any other open pair of earbuds I’ve listened to. If they’re out of your budget, I’d look to Soundcore or potentially Nothing if you can try them on first.

I had the OpenFit and OpenFit 2 through my review program. They were both sensitive to how they were worn and I couldn’t get them situated for a solid fit without ears. It’s because there’s no up or down, in or out rotation with them. The Soundcore AeroFit 2 had a better fit for me, because I couldn’t adjust their rotation on one axis, and sounded better because of that rotation. None of them could compete with the Bose Ultra Open. I have a feeling it’s because their driver is right there and their fit was completely non-slip with me. They’re expensive, lack features like Qi charging, their battery life is below average for the product category, but they’re well built and sounded better, for me anyway, than other open earbuds I’ve listened to. I think the AeroClip come close, but I don’t like having to fidget with them for 10-15 minutes to get the proper sound balance in my right ear.

r/headphonesAre open-ear earbuds actually comfortable for all-day use?

Yes they are. Either FreeArc or Open Fit2 are one of the most comfortable buds and won't hurt your ears. They're covered with a new type of soft silicon material that fixes to your skin. Both have around 10h battery life. But my problem with open-ear headphones is how they work, I'm totally disappointed. I was hyped for most of my life watching military exercises and the tank crew wore similar comm devices. So I mistakenly thought the bone conducting technology would work on any part of the body close to a bone and you'd hear loud and clear. Kinda how those bluetooth speakers work on contact with metal, wood, etc. But no. Open-Ear techonology it's just like a normal speaker at max volume, meant to be placed only near the ear channel, and you won't listen anything otherwise. So yeah, life sucks and I have to stick with earpods.

I noticed more base from the open fit also more clarity and they also have buttons controls over that whole new touch control that was kind of sensitive for the open dots one.
