1454kb 1.0I couldn't find that many opinions online so I thought I'd throw in my two cents. A bit of background, I'm a bit of a headphone enthusiast but nothing crazy - my main headphones are the the HD650, HD620s, and previously the AKG K701. I use the Etymotic er3xr on the go in addition to some random wireless Sony bluetooth earbuds. I also have the Bose QC45. I bought the OpenFit 2+ as an upgrade over the OpenFit Air which I currently own as a pair of cheap(ish) open headphones for situations where I'd like to hear the environment outside. To be honest the old OpenFit Air are kinda bad but they are cheap and are tolerable for some background music. The OpenFit 2+ are a substantial improvement and actually provide decent sound quality. Overall I'd describe the sound signature as being overall pretty well balanced and slightly V shaped with plenty of treble sparkle. The treble resolution isn't amazing but it's hard to fault given the category doesn't have that many contenders. The sub-bass rolls off a little as well which is expected for this form factor, but bass extension is surprisingly good. Soundstage is good, reasonably wide, which is not exactly surprising given V shaped sound signatures does tend to assist to that effect. Compared to my er3xr, the Shokz has a laid back midrange with a hotter treble and is of course less detailed across the board. It's brighter than the HD650's with a rougher less refined sound. I bought them for $339.00 AUD, I'd highly recommend them for anyone who is after some open sporty headphones and is willing to pay for good sound quality.
Yeah the 2 is a significant step up. I don't know how they compare with the Ultra Open.
CreamyLibations 1.0I tried them on sale for $129 USD a couple weeks ago and I thought they were OK, but the slightest ambient noise completely masks lower frequencies even with bass boost enabled. Not really the product’s fault per se, but the design just doesn’t work for exercise in urban environments. Also the soft rubbery part contains BPAs which is really bad, especially given the friction & moisture that they’ll be subjected to.
Darth_Dodraugen 1.0I am very happy with my Shokz Openfit 2+. It´s a normal speaker but it's on the outside of your ear. And quality on calls are really good.
eher271 1.0My ear shape sounds similar to yours. I first tried the soundcore aeroclip and also the huawei freeclip, but clip-style designs always feel a bit uncomfortable after long use. I recently switched to the shokz openfit 2+, and I found the earhook design fits my ears better and stays very stable. You could try it too if you’re interested, it might open up a whole new world haha.

Material-Painting-19 1.0If you are prioritising sound quality you are not going to want to use Shokz or any other bone conduction headphone. I own three pairs - one for swimming, one for calls (Opencomm 2) and one for general use including cycling (Openfit 2+). They are great for these purposes but they are very low quality for sound. You can also hear everything else that is going on around you so quite often whatever you are listening to is drowned out by external noise. For calls the microphone on the Openfit 2+ is very good (much, much better than any version of the AirPods), but the Opencomm 2 is significantly better. However, if sound quality is important to you, you will be very disappointed.
Depends on the model. Some are bone conduction, some are speakers. I have both versions. The swimming models and the Opencomm 2 are bone conduction. The Openfit 2+ are speakers. None of them has good sound quality.
PercyRackson 1.0You could give the Shokz Openfit 2+ a try. The call quality is really clear, which was the main reason I bought it, but later I found it’s also great for workouts. It’s comfortable to wear, and the IP55 water resistance is good enough for sweaty sessions.
