"ANC is ridiculously good. ... At least one order of magnitude better than any Beats product I’ve ever used. Probably two orders of magnitude better."

"they have better ANC than almost anything I've tried, over-ear or not ... my new ANC test is the mower and a circular saw."

"Also, with the current ANC, I hear NOTHING (keep in mind, I’m already a little hard of hearing). But with the APP 2’s I could still hear stuff, now I really hear nothing."

"The best unexpected feature for me is that they are findable on my iPhone - the case and buds are individually searchable and you can even use the iPhone as a homing device that shows you an arrow leading you towards them. ... As someone who misplaces my buds about 3x a day, this is indispensable."

"100% on this! i have all apple these days and airpods pro 2 and this one of the best, underrated features."

"And APP has the significant edge in connectivity (pairing with iPhone/macbook)"

"I put my audiogram in my iPhone and my airpods now is my second hearing aids. ... And as bonus, all what I listen is played whit sound corections after my audiogram."

"best allow you to be aware of your surroundings INCLUDING other trail users."

"helped me hear dialogs and communicate with my wife ... was a little tired of hearing me say "say again?""

"The Pros basically lock in to your ears. ... I’ve worn mine for literally hundreds of hours working out and they’ve never fallen out once. ... I am sure that I could do cartwheels in them and they wouldn’t budge."

"most importantly the fit is impeccable for me"

"+1 - I’ve tried them all but I keep coming back to the Pro 2. The foam tips are essential."

"honestly the jump from app1 to app2 was massive, much better tuning and ANC, alot of smart features added after the fact via free updates such as conversation awareness, adaptive audio, and hearing protection which works well at live venues (I used it at a show, it was great)."

"still have quality sound and bass ... With a slight adjustment in the bass on Spotify + spatial sound, the Airpods fly! The bass and quality of the Airpods almost reach the same level as the XM4!"

"The AP2 are gold standard for transparency for me, every aspect I just described is handled well."

"The ANC is not remotely what it used to be now."

"The original AAPs ANC sucked and broke on 2 different pairs of mine and multiple pairs of others I had seen."

"reduced noise cancellation ... My current pair still has the same issue. Cleaning never seems to bring them back to “normal” either."

"I bought a brand new pair of the EXACT same ones and they stopped working a month in."

"left earbuds that failed right after warranty ended. All of them."

"My first gen pros crapped out on me within like a year or 2"

"after an hour with the pros my ear canals are screaming at me to take them out, regardless of tip sizes."

"i hate having to adjust them constantly."

"they will not stay in my ears for any amount of time."

"the Pro2s have absolutely obliterated my ear I won’t ever touch them again 🤣"

"Airpods pro were the one which hurted my part (helicis crus) the most."

"couldn’t make it 30 mins before my ears were aching"

"as long as you dont connect to windows with them. unless you enjoy having to disconnect and reconnect them every hour or so. ... i am about ready to throw them in a blender with how absolutely barbaric apple's bluetooth connectivity is outside of apple only products."

"they don't work well. ... Apple is the devil I know, and I'm convinced they go out of their way for Airpods not to work with anything else. ... If they do work, it is short-lived and buggy."

"which always got glitchy on Teams, Zoom before."

I’m also interested in this. I use AirPods Pro 2 most of the time. They work but I don’t love them. I was looking for wired headphones as well.

AirPods Pro for the seamless integration and handoff between other Apple devices. Could go from iPhone to iPad to Apple Watch to my Mac without a problem. The audio is good as well, if this is just for everyday use.

I have the same problem, I’ve found that the AirPods with the rubber tips help a lot with grip - the normal AirPods fall right out of my ears lol. I usually use my big Bose headphones but if I need small earbuds, AirPods for sure

I wanted to dislike them cause they’re so generic and corporate and whatever else, but when I lost my first pair (which i loved) and tried two other wireless buds (which i did not love half as much) and went back to Airpods pros, I decided it was time to admit they are JUST very good. I don’t think anything beats them right now that I’m aware of. The battery life is great, they connect to an iPhone or Mac seamlessly, every part of it recharges fast, case beeps on Find My if you need to, noise cancelling is quite good (heavily relied on for planes and trains). Small and comfortable enough that I’ve fallen asleep with them in as a side sleeper. It still feels so lame shilling for a major company’s product this hard cause they don’t need the marketing help at all. But they just are the gold standard right now.

The Pros have better ANC and sound because of the tight seal. However I prefer the 4s because i don’t like the silicone tips on the pros.

r/airpods • Airpod 4’s or the Airpods pro 2’s ->
